Fantastic Sams Fort Myers, FL (San Carlos Park & Cypress Lakes)

I had been a loyal Fantastic Sams customer for years, but what happened leading up to my 60th birthday on July 30, 2025, was emotionally and professionally devastating.

It began at the Cypress Lakes location with Lauren, whose cut and color severely damaged my hair. Extensions were placed incorrectly and fell out almost immediately. I had to seek emergency repairs while traveling for work in Washington, D.C.—a humiliating experience.

Owner Scott Brown acknowledged the damage and referred me to Jodi at the San Carlos Park location. I trusted her and even posted glowing reviews, hopeful for a fix. But during another business trip in Miami, I discovered my hair was still in awful condition—and I’d been overcharged for services never received, including foils that were never applied.

The damage was so severe that I had no choice but to have my hair cut off. What I didn’t know was that it had already been cut to a quarter inch all over. Jodi turned my chair so I could see the full extent of the damage—and I was stunned. I had to seek emergency services again in Miami just to appear presentable for work.

My husband asked me to take a photo—not to share, but because he couldn’t bear to say how bad it looked. That photo now marks a painful memory.

Additional issues:

Receipts were rarely given, and often incorrect

My account was reset on July 24 without notice

Loyalty points vanished, and my formal complaint letter went unanswered

I filed a BBB complaint on July 30 and still await a response

Since then, six employees have left, and even another recent reviewer changed their rating due to overcharges and poor customer service. The salon has changed—and not for the better.

Thankfully, I’m now under the care of a professional salon that has treated me with compassion and skill. I won’t name them publicly to protect their peace—but I’m truly grateful.

Fantastic Sams in Fort Myers once had great staff. Many have left, and sadly, the atmosphere has changed. I fear for the future of these locations.

I’ve included photos taken after the damage, during initial repairs, and one from before—these are not meant to shock but to prevent others from facing the same pain.
