My sister and I hired [redacted] after finding some old reel to reel tapes that belonged to her first husband and an old VHS tape that our mother had put some old 8mm movies on awhile back. The movies were of her kids as babies and growing up, and the reel to reel tapes we were sure was her first husband and his dad playing guitar. [redacted] was very knowledgeable about both mediums He knew about all of the various problems with the numerous types of reel to reel, their strengths and weaknesses. In short, [redacted] knew how to work with them before incurring a huge bill. He found out with a little work that the reel to reel tapes were just recordings of my sister's first huband's favorite radio show before incurring a huge cost that we would not have wanted to pay. In the end, he charged us a small fee of $35 for the VHS tape and some working with the reel to reels. We were extremely happy with his knowledge, expertise, and professionalism.

This was my second try at converting my home movies to DVD. Far Q Productions did a beyond fabulous job. Thorough, considerate, spoke to me in words I could understand and made sure I did understand. Gave us an estimate and due to my under estimating, I actually saved more money at completion of the project because the amount of film dropped into a lower price per foot. Timely, the job was completed and delivered on time, in less than 10 days for over 6 hours of home movies. He was accomodating in pick up and delivery of the project.

Recently my father passed away, and I found 18 reels of 8 mm film of home video from the 60's. The last time I remember seeing these films was around 1973. I wasn't sure who to take them to, to have them transferred. I found Far Q Productions website, among others. A friend of mine suggested I go with Far Q Productions. I sent a message through the website and received an email the next day. [redacted] came to my home. He inspected my films. He explained his service and gave me a very fair and economical estimate. He told me it would take about a week and he had my films done in less than that. We set up a time and he returned to my home with the DVDs and my original films. I'm extremely satisfied and my family is overjoyed in being able to see these again. Some of our precious memories that he preserved for us are, our Dad's college graduation, our Parents wedding, and footage of our oldest siblings at toddler ages. Our films had been through a home fire and the resulting flood that occurs when they put the fire out. They were in terrible shape. [redacted] worked his magic and they turned out awesome. He can't work miracles and some of our films are really in bad shape. Despite the shape of some of the films, [redacted] was able to transfer the footage and the parts that are viewable came out great. I am completely satisfied. [redacted] took his time and has a keen eye for detail that I think really showed in the quality of the transfers to DVD of out films. I would recommend Far Q Productions to anyone considering have old films transferred to DVD
