Tom has said that he sent a check and I assume it is on the way I have not received it He did suggest we meet in person, presumably to fight I apologized for how I talked to him but that is not relevant to this We did pay him to sand the porch but not to finish it Only to sand it Perhaps something was lost in communication but his not responding to any of my communications forced me to make this complaint and take other actions to get his attention.I will accept the situation is resolved when I get the money but his characterization of our communications is not accurate As I did not talk to him in a nice way, he made accusations towards me and it should be known that he suggested we meet in person This is not a case of me being crazy I have attached a screen shot of the email suggesting we meet

Hello, I received the complaint from [redacted] here is my side of the story....Farley Floors Incdid work for this customer in May of 2016, Mr [redacted] claims that he paid for us to sand his porch and says we did not do it Farley Floors Incdoes not even do outside work, we do not sand porchesHe claims he paid us $200.oo for this$wouldn't even buy the paint for such a projectThe cost of an average room to sand and finish is $1,I'm not sure what this customer is talking about but I have refunded his $simply because of his threatening emails which tells me to [redacted] ***" and that I'm a " [redacted] ***"Every once in a while I get a customer that is just mental and crazy and this is one of themI will not return this guys emails or phone calls because of his threatening wordsHe works at the University in Athens Ohio, and I have forwarded his emails to the University and to the police in Athens OhioOur work is not invoiced until the project is completeAll of our jobs work that wayThat's how we guarantee our work to look greatAll work if totally complete then we invoice for the total amount, that way the owner is always happybefore they payThis customer was the sameWe did sand his living room floor and steps, when we completed we invoiced the amount and he paid in full year later he for some reason is demanding a $rebateI am confused at this customer's attitude and demands, but I did refund the $to him just to stop the harassment of this guy.Thank you for letting me give my side of the story

To Whom it May Concern: Because MrFarley’s response was directed towards me, [redacted] (male owner), I am responding to take my wife out as being portrayed as both the bad guy and middle man My working relationship with Jacob was amiable and both my wife and I have said many times that he is a hard-working, nice guy When Jacob was in our home, my wife was at work My wife and I couldn’t talk about the progress of the floors until she was home I was also not able to walk on the floors to see progress on most days so I wasn't able to see what had been done until Jacob was goneShe is better at asking questions, so she handled the follfrom our nightly walk-throughs MrFarley’s response does not resolve our issue In fact, MrFarley brought up several more points that we did not originally address The only factual statement in his response is that I did, in fact, sign a form with payment, but was told I had to do so for the project to be completed At the time of signing, I was told that the list of things needing done would be completed This complaint was filed because the latter did not happenIf you re-read the original complaint, we never expected the job to be completed in the original time frame Dates were identified to establish a timeline It was acknowledged that additional time would be needed to make job changes that were requested What was not acceptable was the timeline overall The change in plan was agreed upon by both parties We agreed to pay you an additional almost $to do exactly as you said in your response - except that’s not at all what was done The floors were screened after the change They were not sanded to virgin to start over. The damage we reported to our floors was NOT caused by us and it was not caused by furniture The damage was caused when the crew moved our stove out of the kitchen and damaged our floor boards in the laundry room Jacob replaced these boards The crew also moved the appliances back into the kitchen causing damage to the finish Jacob tried to repair this, but was not successful He had hoped it would be less noticeable when he put the second coat on the floor He never returned to put the second coat on He returned my calls about completing the second coat He said he was on jobs out of town for weeks until he finally stopped responding all together The job was too hard for Jacob to complete without adequate help – especially when he had never attempted to do a whitewash before The fact remains that the job was never completed I never agreed that it wasWe have pictures of the “finished” product, too Ones that we sent to MrFarley showing unfinished work and he said he would come look at and never bothered to doThe kitchen floor was never finishedWe have not been asking anything unreasonable – only that the job we paid MrFarley (prematurely) to do be done We certainly never asked for anything to be done outside of the scope of what the job description was Sincerely,

Hello,Thank you for the chance to respond.First I have a written acceptance letter signed by the owner of the houseHe was pleased and said he was happy with everything and signed the acceptance form before he paid us.We have returned to this house times now, everytime it is something newThe owner told us that he broke a couple boards while moving his furniture back inWe did not move the furniture back in.We did get some finish on the base and a spot on the wall, the owner/male gave us the paint that they had and we fixed the spotsHe the owner said that it looked good.We told the owner 5-days to do the job but that was impossible because : after we sealed the whole floor the owners changed there mind and wanted the floors white washed, so we had to completely sand the floors again down to virgin wood and start over. The man of the house has been very nice and very easy to work with, but as soon as we leave I get messages from the women of the housetimes that we showed up to look at the kitchen floor the man of the house said it was bad timing that day.In my opinion Farley Floors has done way beyond our job descriptionI can not be responsible for damage that the owners did them selves.I have pictures of the project, starting with having to clean the areas before we could even start the process, and pictures of the finished floorsUndamagedI have stopped communication with the owner/female because the man of the house has said the floors look great and thanked us, signed an acceptance, and paidThe reasons I returned to the job several times is because we have a great reputation, we do not advertise, we only work from referralsSo I try to keep every customer happyThis customer, I'm sad to say is only 1/happy.Also just so we all know, the damage to boards was not Farley Floors doing, It was the owner, My guys was being very nice and patched a couple boards for themOnce we started helping with things that was not our job , then it got out of hand and she started wanting more things done that had nothing to do with us, I have to stop at some point.Thank you Tom FarleyOwner

In Supporting Document #one will see that all theabove activities are included in the installation labor chargeThe only reason the [redacted] shave not paid this is because MrFarley has never completed the installation and repairs offlooring, and has not corrected any of the problems he promised to "fix" (in SupportingDocument #I).Supporting Document #4Supporting Document #is a copy of an e-mail sent by MrFarley to [redacted] on May25, MrFarley claimed in his response to the [redacted] complaint on the Revdex.com that the [redacted] s still owe him over $IF MrFarley had completed the installation job andcorrected the over problems MrFarley promised to correct in (Supporting Document#1) the [redacted] s would have owed MrFarley only $In this May 25, e-mail Mr.Farley requested a total of $$of that was for "Floor vents and installation" and$was for "Demo costs."
