I met with these clients and wrote the home and farm policy with them in person They needed to get some documents together They were contacted after the business was wrote to bring in copies of Trust paperwork, which they eventually did Underwriting of this policy was delayed during this wait time Then underwriting had some questions about a wood stove in their shop/outbuilding Due to wait time in getting these things cleaned up, underwriting rejected the policy Unfortunately, the clients were angry to read the policy had been rejected They came into the office on the afternoon of September 1, They expressed their frustration to my CSR She offered them my cell number to reach me immediately, (I never received a call or voicemail) she offered them an appointment to meet with me in person to rewrite the policy or to discuss how to resolve it, and they did not want to speak to me or see me They argued about the amount of refund check for the prorated dates of coverage I tried to call them about the matter on 09/04/2017, & 09/05/and no one answered I spoke with them to apologize and resolve the issue again on the morning of 09/07/2017.I am still trying to resolve the issue and explain that even though the letter stated we rejected the policy, it was due to some minor technical things and I can certainly rewrite and cover their needs I take pride in my years of service with zero complaints We will see what we can do to take care of this situation by contacting them until the matter is corrected Customer Satisfaction is very important to this office

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:She was dishonest about a lot of things. She said we went into the office on 9/1 and expressed our concerns to her secretary. The secretary tried to reach her a few times and she would not answer and she did not offer us a chance to make an appointment to see her. We also tried to call her ourselves and could not reach her. We tried calling five times and she never answered. We did argue about the refund check because we did not feel it was enough. She says she tried to call us on 9/4 and 9/5 however we never received a phone call from her on either of those days and we were home. On 9/7, my wife did receive a call and explained we were upset and disappointed but that she should call back to speak to me and she hung up on my wife. I don't need her insurance. We have been told this has happened before with her.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Review: I was quoted a price for vehicle insurance verbally over the telephone for $176, which I agreed to and left my previous insurance company. When I arrived in the office, the price was $203, an unacceptable upcharge. This company now has all of my personal information, including social security number. If this company cannot be trusted to honor their quoted rates, they cannot be trusted with my personal information.Desired Settlement: I want my personal information purged from their records, compensation for the 36 mile round trip from my home to their office and compensation to cover fees incurred to return to my previous insurance company.

Re: ID [redacted]

This letter is in response to the complaint filed with the Revdex.com by Mr. [redacted] regarding the change in the price of a Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance auto quote.

After our internal investigation, we have confirmed our employee collected the information necessary from Mr. [redacted] in order to provide a non-binding auto insurance quote (a quote is an estimate of potential premium and based on the information provided by the prospective insured). Based on the information provided by Mr. [redacted], our employee properly calculated a quote for auto insurance.

Our employee then provided Mr. [redacted] a verbal quote (estimate) and informed him the price quoted was based on the information he had provided. This employee also informed Mr. [redacted] the actual premium would be dependent on the discounts discussed being applicable to the policy.

Mr. [redacted] came into our Bedford, Virginia county office to complete a written application for auto insurance. Upon review of this information, it was determined inaccurate information was given by the applicant during the original call and quote and that Mr. [redacted] did not qualify for all of the policy discounts included in the original quote. When the auto quote was recalculated using the new/correct information, there was an increase in the quoted premium. Our employee reviewed the new quote and the reason for the increase with the applicant at that time. While we regret Mr. [redacted]'s auto quote increased, we have determined our employee followed company procedures during the entire quoting process.

With regards to the request to purge Mr. [redacted]'s information from our files, Virginia Farm Bureau is required to maintain insurance quotes for regulatory audit purposes. The information gathered from Mr. [redacted] is, and will continue to be, considered proprietary information that we cannot and will not share with any outside party.

In conclusion, based on our findings, we do not feel restitution for any costs incurred to Mr. [redacted] during the process of applying for auto insurance is or should be required. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at ###-###-####.

Respectfully,

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

"Virginia Farm Bureau is required to maintain insurance quotes for regulatory audit purposes" does not require them to maintain my social security number and personal information. I do no trust this company, nor their systems. With identity theft a major problem with major corporations, I want my information purged.
