Hello, We did in fact inform the customer of the price BEFORE we did the repair, The customer agreed to the repairI switched the relay she refers to after informing her husband , and he agreed he would wait to see if the relay (fuse) would blow again We did another repair to the evap system at the same time (see invoice) I told them (and its on the invoice ) that if the relay blew again we would have to see why ! This was done to try to SAVE them moneySee the invoice ! When she called to say that the light had come back on I said , please bring the car back for a free recheckAt this point I have no idea WHY the light is on ! I also said that I would do this recheck for FREE ! Please ask the customer to come back so that we may resolve this situation for them Perhaps I didn't communicate the please return part properly , but as far as the initial repair , I was very clear about what we were doing, how much it would cost , and the fact that it might need more work At this point we will do whatever is necessary to resolve this matter in fair and timely manner please have them call me [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have stated my concerns and wishing in the previous email Sincerely, [redacted]

I was very clear to tell this woman EXACTLY what we were doing and how much it would cost
II have also offered to recheck her car for free
At this point we have NO IDEA "WHY" the light has come back on ! It could be the same problem or something different ! This was also stated to this woman ! The car needs to come back to the shop for this free recheckI will do whatever I can to come to a reasonable solution to this problemSimilar to when I spoke to he husband and he agreed to put in the new relay (to save them some money)
We need to reach a compromise and I hope I am not the only one willing to work toward a solution
I have and will continue to be professional and courteous to this woman as we try to reach a solution Hopefully she will do the same

Additionally, nowhere does it state on the invoice "that if the relay blew again we would have to see why". The invoice actually states - "Found bad Relay, repaired temporarily but will need new relay to start... relay special order part, let us know"
My husband purchased a new relay and replaced it. Additionally he replaced the other relay that was swapped. So a total of two relays were purchase and installed by my husband.
I feel that this vendor repair was not properly conducted especially since a part within my own vehicle was utilized. Nowhere was it mentioned that we would need to return my vehicle for further investigation. Additionally, by the vendors admission that he “has no idea why the light is on” tell me that he did not conduct a thorough evaluation of my car, as to why my vehicle check engine light it on in the first place. I have lost all confidence in this vendor and his ability to fix my car.
I have an emission test that is required by our state of [redacted], which due on January 19.  I had paid this vendor to tell me all of the problems of my vehicle, not just have me continue to return every other day to conduct experiments on my car and attempt to charge me for further work. It was my assumption that once the relay was replaced, it would have fixed the issues. $240 is not cheap, thus the assumption was that the issue was fixed once the relay was installed. By placing a bunch of items on an invoice to only say, “I hope it works” is a poor way of doing business. It was never clear that additional work was required after a new relay is installed.

Review: On 12/26/2014, I had taken my car to Farm Car Care (vendor) in [redacted], **. I had taken my car to the shop because of a check engine light. They had told me that a code had defined that my car required a new relay and fix to a damage connector. I was then informed that this would remove the check engine light. The vendor had not replaced the relay, however swapped another relay within the engine. I was informed at the time of dropping off my car, that the evaluation would be free. However, a $238.09 was charge for doing an evaluated and a replacement of a connector. I was also informed that the connector was taped and not completely replaced. Additionally, this price was not part of purchasing a new relay. I had to purchased the relay myself and installed it myself. The vendor did not purchase the relay. I was informed to return the car for another evaluation. I feel that this vendor has placed a "band aid" type repair to my vehicle. I feel that he tends to have me return, so that he can take advantage of me further. I have spent a lot of money thus far, to be only told that I would need additional repair. There was no resolution of the issue, the check engine light is still on. Additionally, I do not feel confident that this vendor has the best knowledge of vehicle repair when he blatantly states that "with fingers cross it will work"Desired Settlement: I understand that time was spent on evaluating my car however, I don't feel that $238.09 is adequate for this type of service. I would like to have my money back at my credit card.

Review: 5 months ago, I purchased new tires and brakes from Farm Car Care. From the beginning, the job was not well preformed. I brought the car back several times for flat tires and bad breaks. Each time I was told "bring it in". Each time it was "fixed", free of charge.I asked what had happened, and they handed me the key and whispered, "and we fixed it, no charge". I never even found out what happened with the brakes.Over the past months, the car has had flat tires nearly every day. Thank goodness we have our own compressor. We check daily. The tires have left me in the cold at work, stuck in the [redacted] parking lot at midnight, shopping, etc. When out of exasperation I called again today, I was laughed at and told " you know what it is don't you, it's your rims. Well, if they knew this, why wasn't the car fixed properly the first time? I am not willing to continue to "bring it in" . This is unacceptable, and wrong.Desired Settlement: Tires that I don't have to blow up every day

Response:

I told [redacted] that the problem was not the tires but her aluminum rims are corroded.

This is a very common problem and we have removed the tires and sanded and cleaned two of her rims already for no charge.

We would like to appologize and offer to clean the other rims as well for no charge.

We will provide the service free of charge to try to appease [redacted] even though the problem is not our fault.

Unforutnately at nearly the same time her new brakes developed a squeak, we apoologized and fix that for free also.

At no time was she ever ibn danger and we would like to resolve this situation to her liking at her earliest convenience.

Review: [redacted]

Dear Sir:

I am rejecting this response because: the wear and tear resulting from daily flucuation of tire pressure has caused the tires to wear unevenly.

We have top off 2 or 3 tires daily, or else I am hobbling to the nearest gas station. ( I do not fill the tires daily, and I previously thought I was down to only 1 tire with an issue)

The issue with the brakes is not resolved, as they grind daily.

I do not feel this is an equitable resolution.

I am happy to get a quote for repair of these issues.

Thank you for your response, [redacted]

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

Please let us check the tire and brake issue so that we can fix and warranty all of these issues

Thank you
