Review: On 11 November I purchased 3 sets of "Lipper International Kitchen Cooking Utensils See & Store Brushed Stainless Steel Container Set, 13-Piece Set" from Farm and Home Supply Center, through Amazon.com. On November 17th I received THREE canisters, not THIRTY-SIX canisters with THREE display boxes.

I called Farm & Home Supply and was told that the ad was in error and that they would get it changed; that Amazon.com writes the ads. I said it didn't matter who wrote the ad, I just wanted what I had purchased, based on the ad as it was posted. The woman responded, "That isn't going to happen." I did receive an email from Farm & Home telling me to return the three items for a refund--not saying whether the postage they had charged would be refunded and if the postage I would have to pay would be refunded. Also, their emails stated that there could be a re-stocking fee--seems rediculous that I should be out of pocket for their error or negligence.

In three places the ad indicates 13 pieces per set: The title includes "Container Set, 13-Piece Set"; the picture shows a display box with 12 containers; and, the product description states, "12 magnetic containers made from 18/0 brushed stainless steel. 1 counter display box."

I then contacted Amazon and received a reply which said, "Please understand that Amazon.com has no way to fulfill an order which you placed with a Marketplace seller on our site." And, in keeping with their policy, Amazon refunded my payment.

I did take screen shots of the ad as it was posted at the time of my purchase, should you need these for verification. The ad has since been changed.

It is not my fault that Farm & Home was negligent in checking that the ad correctly represented what they were selling. That good business practice is to stand behind what you have allowed to be represented on your behalf.Desired Settlement: I want the additional 33 containers and 3 container display boxes that I paid for. I want them to be in new, undamaged condition. I want them to be shipped expeditiously.

Review: Farm & Home Supply Center's website lists 1 1/8" solid brass cup hooks. The cup hooks Farm & Home supplied are 3/4". The manufacturer's box clearly states that the cup hooks are 3/4". Doing a little follow up at the big box stores and a national chain hardware store, all of their 3/4" cup hooks are the same size and are labelled as 3/4". I would say it is safe to say that the industry standard name for these is 3/4" cup hooks, not 1 1/8".Farm & Home expects me to pay the freight both ways because 'I got what I ordered'. I didn't get what I ordered, they sent a smaller size that won't work in my application. I knew up front that a 3/4" cup hook wasn't large enough. Farm & Home Supply Center wants me to pay for the fact that their website has misleading/incorrect information on it. I believe this is a very poor business practice.Desired Settlement: Full credit including freight both ways.

I have copied and pastes directly from the site. The ¾” that [redacted] saw on the box of cup hooks is the measurement from the ‘wall seal’ to the top of the hook. I have attached a picture for reference. I thought that [redacted] was understanding what I was saying and didn’t know he didn’t. I’m assuming he didn’t because he came to the Revdex.com to report us. We are truly sorry this matter had to come this far. We are sorry as well that the item wasn’t what [redacted] needed.
