I purchased an extended warranty through Sears on some fitness equipment and Farmer's Fitness was locally assigned to service an elliptical that was squeaking and needed lubricationThey contacted me in May to come out for the serviceThe technician arrived and struggled to take apart the ellipticalI had asked if he wanted to use my instruction manual and he refusedOnly after he had finally taken it apart did he realize that he did not have the correct parts to complete the jobHe told us he would put in an order for the correct parts and return soon to complete the repairHe then put the elliptical back together and told us it was safe to useAfter its first use, we found that he had not put on the casing correctly and plastic shavings were grinding off of the casing from the wheelsI called Farmers Fitness right away to tell them of the error the technician made and they told us that they would order the new parts that were damaged by the technician's errorOne month later we still have not heard from FarmersWhen I called them, they blamed Sears/Icon for a delay in shipping the parts and said that they would follow up with SearsAnother month goes by and still no contact from FarmersI then decide to call Sears and see what happened on their endThey tell me that they are still waiting for Farmers to complete the justification for the parts orderApparently for over two months, Farmers had not even completed my parts order! Farmers Fitness is either too busy or does not care enough to ensure its customers equipment is returned to service as quickly as possibleI hope that they provide better training to their technicians to avoid causing more damage to equipment when coming out for service calls and repairs

I scheduled service with them to effectively rehab a ~year old treadmill The lady that coordinated it was very nice and helpful, I booked it for 7am on a Monday with my fingers crossed it'd be timely (I have to be at work by 9am) The guy that showed up was minutes early and did it all wicked quickly! He was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and couldn't have asked for a better experience overall

Amazing service! They showed up on time, ordered my parts promptly and installed them on time I could not have asked for better service!!! A+++++

DisappointingI called in February to find out what Farmer's would charge to come to Cottonwood, AZ from their location in PhoenixI was told it would cost $and that would include the repairThat seemed like a low priceSo I asked what would happen if they needed to get a part and then make a second trip to complete the repairThe person on the phone asked me to hold while she asked someone on her end how that would be handledShe then told me that the $would cover the repairI asked again to clarify that she was saying the full repair would be covered by the $She confirmedSo I scheduled the service for the first opening they had, which was weeks outMy husband and I figured that there must be a set of frequent, common problems with treadmills that they could be prepared to fix on a single visit, and probably parts that need frequent replacement, as we didn't see how they could quote an arepair without seeing the treadmillOf course, once the technician started to diagnose the problem and told me he would get a quote on the part/s needed, I had to tell him that I had been quoted an all-inclusive price to fix the treadmillHe did the right thing, and called his employer before moving ahead, who of course told him that they had not quoted as I describedHe put me on the phone with a woman I assume is an ownerI told her how the original conversation had gone, and what I had been toldShe interrupted me multiple times to tell me that they did not tell me what they had told me, and that there must have been a misunderstandingI insisted that I had taken great care to ensure I understood what I had been quoted before I finally scheduled the appointmentThis woman repeatedly told me that I could not have been told that and must have misunderstoodIn essence, she repeatedly called me a liarShe had no intention of even trying to resolve the situation to my satisfaction, or even to come to a compromiseShe treated me as if I were a lying, crazy woman trying to cheat them out of a repairShe violated every rule of meaningful, respectful customer service The technician (who was 100% top-notch: respectful, knowledgeable, and pleasant) told me that this is primarily a BtoB business, Mom & Pop, contracting with gyms and fitness centersSo all I can conclude is that Farmer's does not need, nor care about individual customersThey certainly didn't care that I was dissatisfiedNo business I have owned or worked for could afford to treat a customer in this wayThey should have offered to waive the service charge--the business should always give the customer the benefit of the doubt in an instance of misunderstandingThat's a cost of doing businessBut again, apparently they have all the business they needSo if you're an individual--not a business--don't bother with Farmer'sOr if you do (since I think the quality of their service is probably very good) get the quote in writing

I purchased an extended warranty through Sears on some fitness equipment and Farmer's Fitness was locally assigned to service an elliptical that was squeaking and needed lubrication. They contacted me in May to come out for the service. The technician arrived and struggled to take apart the elliptical. I had asked if he wanted to use my instruction manual and he refused. Only after he had finally taken it apart did he realize that he did not have the correct parts to complete the job. He told us he would put in an order for the correct parts and return soon to complete the repair. He then put the elliptical back together and told us it was safe to use. After its first use, we found that he had not put on the casing correctly and plastic shavings were grinding off of the casing from the wheels. I called Farmers Fitness right away to tell them of the error the technician made and they told us that they would order the new parts that were damaged by the technician's error. One month later we still have not heard from Farmers. When I called them, they blamed Sears/Icon for a delay in shipping the parts and said that they would follow up with Sears. Another month goes by and still no contact from Farmers. I then decide to call Sears and see what happened on their end. They tell me that they are still waiting for Farmers to complete the justification for the parts order. Apparently for over two months, Farmers had not even completed my parts order! Farmers Fitness is either too busy or does not care enough to ensure its customers equipment is returned to service as quickly as possible. I hope that they provide better training to their technicians to avoid causing more damage to equipment when coming out for service calls and repairs.

I needed help in getting my treadmill fixed. So I called this company. They agreed to send a technician. The technician came on the agreed date - a few mins late - not a big deal. However the technician after looking at the equipment suggested that I replace the belts and the deck. I asked for a quote and he did say that he had written up a report for his office and that they would get in touch with me. It has been more than 2 weeks since the tech visit and there has been no call from the company. The tech was keen however to collect his $99.00 check. What is wrong with these companies. They want to easily make a quick buck and not care for the consumer. All I needed was a quote to really find out how much it would cost me to fix my treadmill. Now I have to find another company and start this process all over.
