In February, 2018 my dog was sprayed by a skunk. Before I knew that she was sprayed she came into my house and rubbed on my carpet, box springs and my bedding in my master bedroom. I called my insurance agent and wanted to ask a question. I didn't request a claim be started I only wanted to ask if my homeowners insurance would cover this. I was told by the person at the insurance office that no this wasn't covered because the skunk was not inside our house or under our house. I told her thank you and that's all I wanted to know.

I began looking at other insurance companies because my premium has risen so high and I had never filed a claim and I was told by two other companies that I had filed a claim. The claim was listed as a water/sewage claim which is one of the worst that you can file. It also didn't show that the damage had been repaired which was even worse.

I have asked that this be removed from my file since there was never a claim filed. I never asked that a claim be filed, I only called and asked a question. The insurance company has refused to remove this and therefore I have been damaged by having something on my insurance file that never happened. I want this resolved by this false claim being removed from my insurance file.

I have spoken with agents from the *** agency but not *** herself. This should have never been a claim because I never filed a claim. This is false and should be removed from my insurance docket.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) This "claim" be removed from my insurance file. When someone runs my insurance background file that it shows that there is nothing, no claims have been filed, which there hasn't. THE FALSE CLAIM BE REMOVED.

We received your inquiry dated March 3, 2020, concerning Ms.' dissatisfaction that a claim was filed on her policy. We appreciate the opportunity to review this matter and to provide you with a response.

After receiving your inquiry, we contacted Ms.' agent and it is the agent's position that Ms. provided her office permission to file the claim. Based on that information, we are unable to remove the claim from our records. We did withdraw the claim per Ms.' request.

We have also verified that the *** type is correct in our records and is not listed as a water or sewage ***. If Ms. needs documentation to support that, we are happy to provide her with a letter of experience.

I did not file a claim when I contacted the *** agency. I simply called and asked the person a question. I did not give permission to file a claim. I have a witness that works in my office that will verify that I did not file a claim that I only called and a asked a question. I also can give them documentation that when another underwriter pulls up the claim that it shows that it is listed as a water/sewer claim. I want this removed from from file because I did mot file a claim I have never filed a homeowners claim with this company.

This is a false claim and it SHOULD BE REMOVED. THEY ARE ONLY TRYING TO RAISE HARD WORKING INDIVIDUALS INSURANCE PREMIUMS AND THIS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN. I WOULD LIKE PROOF THAT I SUBMITTED A CLAIM.

We have requested that this claim be removed from Ms.' CLUE report. We contacted Ms. and advised her of this. We are also going to provide her a letter of experience, which will outline our request to have the claim removed. Ms. confirmed that she has no further concerns about the claim at this time.
