My car still wasn't fix

This loss was reported on October 20, 2015, after Mr. [redacted]’ vehicle was damaged in a collision.  The vehicle was taken to [redacted] Dodge for repairs, and the claim was assigned to COD Coordinator Lee [redacted] for handling.  As Mr. [redacted] is having the vehicle repaired through the...

policy’s collision coverage, he is responsible for his deductible of $500.00.The accident-related damages are being repaired and payment will be issued to the repair facility for the related charges.  The additional issues Mr. [redacted] is concerned about are a failed fuse, which was determined to be related to the after-market security system on the vehicle.  This reportedly cause the vehicle not to start.  Additionally, the vehicle has a worn clockspring, which is likewise unrelated to this collision.  As such, neither of these issues can be paid through this collision claim.  Mr. [redacted] also stated the left/front of the vehicle was vibrating, which may be the result of an alignment issue.  We have agreed to have that issue diagnosed and will pay for any related repairs if it is found this issue is related to the collision. We will continue to work with Mr. [redacted] to ensure the covered damage is addressed.  Should he have additional questions or concerns, he may contact Mr. [redacted] at ###-###-#### or his supervisor, Mark Paulson, at ###-###-####.

MESSAGE FROM CONSUMER:Nothing have been done to resolve this problem I haven't even received acall yetAfter your email was forwarded to me, I contacted our claims operation anddetermined we did pay for the inspection of the vibration issue, but nofurther payment was merited as the issue is not related to the accident.Instead, it's the result of an alignment problem related to worn parts. This was explained to Mr. [redacted] on November 18, 2015.  After receivingyour email, we contacted him again and were advised he's paid for thebalance of the repairs himself.  We've offered to speak with the shop againto make sure we've addressed everything we can, and will advise Mr. [redacted]if there is any additional consideration we can offer. Please let me know if you need additional information.[redacted]Sr. Consultant - Claims Customer RelationsMid-Century Insurance Company[redacted]Phone  913.826.8455     Fax  913.826.8467
