Review: I once had a leake in my house in the basement. I called the insurance and they told me that anywater coming from the outside to the inside isnt covered. I understood that I needed to get flood insurance. Which I didnt. So Monday July 22nd the pipes busted on my sump pump and it again flooded my basement. I couldnt get a hold of the Insurance Company after hours no emergency number. So as a single freaked out mother I call a cleaning company explained the sitiation they sent someone one out that evening pulled the carpert there was no saving it and have to cut come drywall. The adjuster came out the evening of the 25th and evaluated and had taken pictures. [redacted] said as I see it its a plumbing pipe issue and you shouldnt have a problem. The cleaning company also seemed that there should me no problems with the coverage. So today July 30th the insurance company called saying that this will not be covered. Anything having to do with the sewer pump isnt covered this was never offered and the policy was never explained about any of this information or the needed extended coverage. So now again as a single mother I now will have to pay the cleaning company [redacted] and [redacted] (who was wonderfull) and replace the drywall and carpet. Also the other damages associated with the flood. I really need help with this matter It seems ins companies always find a way not to pay claims when needed from people who pay into it.
