Review: I have had insurance with Farmers mutual for over 15 years and I forgot to make the last installment payment for my insurance, thus I received a cancellation notice. I called them about this and was told I needed to send a full years premium in order to reinstate my insurance. I sent them the stated amount to reinstate it and was then sent a letter stating I was canceled. I called them back and then was told it was canceled because I was a new customer and the policy couldn't be written. I was instructed to call someone else in which I did and was then told they couldn't find the property to do an inspection on it to keep the insurance on it. They had called my home phone number in which they spoke to my 73 year old mom who has mild mental rdation and was not able to give them directions to the property. No phone numbers or contact person was left with my mom for me to contact them and then was served with the cancelation notice. once again I called them and they said they would work this out. several days later I called them and they said I was canceled and couldn't get my insurance back. I called them back several days later and asked to speak to someone that could help me get this back. [redacted] was her name and when I got upset about my situation she hung up on me!!! real professional people here!! I called back and asked her to send me a copy of my declaration page so I could get insurance from another company as I am very dissatisfied with how this was handled. Customers of over 15 years should not be treated like this and don't feel it was my fault they couldn't find the property since they were ones who had been insuring it for the past 15 years and now all of a sudden they can't find it!! it's a house and can't be moved and is right along a main highway, not hard to find on [redacted]. They had done several inspections on this home over the 15 years they insured it so I feel it is their fault for not trying to contact me back to get directions to the property.

I am asking for a FULL refund of my insurance premium, not a prorated for the past month they kept my insurance going until I find a new company to cover my property!
