Review: I 2 cars purchased a 2003 Mitsubishis Lancer and a 2007 ford explorer n Dec. The car had multiple things wrong with

both vechicles.

On the lancer the heat did not work nor did the sunroof.

On the Explorer the radio did not work or the light on the front dash.

I dropped off both cars to be fixed and neither one of them were fixed.

I proceed to tell them that NOTHING was fixed. The owner came out and starting screaming obsenitys at me with my young daughter present. At this piont I was very scared and left.

I had to take both cars to my own mecanhic and he fixed them. I paid over $300 for repairs and Farmington Auto would not do anythingDesired Settlement: I would like a refuind for the repairs I did.

Review: I was in a collision and Farmington Auto Park towed my car. They convinced me to also have them do the repairs. They provided me with a loner car while my car was being fixed. These cars had constant issues including one overheating and another having brake issues. In total, I drove 3 different terrible loner cars. The repairs took 2 full months to be completed. Before getting the car back, I visited the shop frequently to see the progress. For weeks, my car was park beside an abandoned building accross the street.I was rarely contacted by them with updates, and that is why I needed to check in. They would always tell me its almost there and sign the loner agreement for another 2 weeks. I had gone to the shop at one point after the body work had been done and noticed paint drips on the doors and fog in my just replaced headlights. My panels lined up horribly as well, so I told them that it was unacceptable. [redacted] told me "If you don't know what you're talking about shut your [redacted]." I left and contacted the insurance company, who will not help me because I "Chose the shop."After they "fixed" what I had pointed out, I paid my deductible and got the car back. It Leaked transmission fluid after they replaced the transmission-- Immediately off the lot, so I brought it back for another day so they could fix that. After leaving the shop, I noticed that the panels were never corrected, incorrect parts were used other than those paid for by [redacted] insurance. My rear quarter panel has a 4 foot long scratch where they attempted to scratch off the old stripe with a blade of some kind. I have been told by another shop that the frame appears to have been fixed incorrectly and that it will most likely need to be adjusted. The sum of parts that were supposed to be purchase [redacted] are in excess of $2000 and none of these parts were used. There are items on the estimate that were never completed. Also, the paint does not match and it should have been blended.Desired Settlement: I was verbally abused by [redacted] and they have had a chance to remedy their "repair." Therefore, they have no interest, tools, or knowledge to repair what they have done. For this reason, the resolution should involve my car being fixed to the point it should have been fixed to the first time, using [redacted] parts as paid for, readjusting the framework, repainting so they paint all matches, and repairing unfinished parts. I request corrective repairs to be paid by FAP and completed where I choose.

Response:

Customer already went to DMV instead of coming to us to try and resolve these issues. His vehicle had an accident and different color paint prior to this. If he had come to us we would have tried to resolve any issues the best we could. However, since his complaint with DMV we will be handling this issue though them.

I am rejecting this response because:

DMV does not protect me on this, it protects future customers for this facility. I have recently discovered that they lied to me and put a transmission in my car with 61,000 miles, when they said it had 10,000. Now my transmission has more miles than my car. I have significant proof to back up my claims. Paint not matching is the least of my worries. Regardless of the fact that everybody who see it says the wrong paint must have been used as it is not even close.

Sincerely,

Review: Our loan customer's father contacted us on 5/17/13 informing us our vehicle (collateral on the loan) was turned over to a third party named [redacted]. We then contacted [redacted] and he identified himself as the owner of Farmington Auto Park. He stated he had consensually towed the vehicle from the customer's property and had been storing it for 19 days at the rate of $100/day + $250 for the tow + sales tax = $2,286.53 We questioned the rather high daily storage rate, and he told us it was because he is a licensed CT towing company and that it was a consensual tow. We reminded him that as lien holder we gave no such consent. He stated there is nothing we can do, that is his rate for this type of job, and that he had begun the ABA filing procedure to seek a mechanic's lien to keep the vehicle. We subsequently contacted one of our repo agents to front the required cash or bank check only as stipulated by [redacted] to recover the vehicle from his facility. Upon arrival to recover our vehicle, the agent was informed it must be paid in cash. The fee was paid and the vehicle was recovered.

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

In light of no prior knowledge of the towing of our vehicle, we request the more reasonable 34.00/day CT statutory fee for non-consensual storage be imposed, with the difference between the revised figure and what we were forced to pay, made refundable to [redacted] Corporation.

The lien holder to a vehicle is never consented before a tow. It was a consensual tow by the CT DMV rules and that was what was charged. The rates are posted on our wall in our office and have been documented by DMV. Our space is very limited on our lot and we are fined by the town if we are over our limit.

Subject: RE: Revdex.com Complaint Case#[redacted](Ref#XX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-X-XXXX)

After consulting the DMV I have learned that they do not regulate the fees and storage charges of a garage owner. Essentially they can charge whatever they like and get away with it. At this time they have suggested our next course of action should be to take the garage owner to Small Claims Court and let a judge rule on this. We are considering taking that action at this time. We feel that this dealer is gauging customers but there does not appear to be much preventing them from doing so. We would like our complaint on record so others know to be aware of the practices this dealer engages in.

Had excellent experience with farmington auto park. Purchased a 2009 [redacted] and was very pleased. All promises made by Adam and Steve were kept and I have enjoyed my new vehicle for over a year now with no issues at all.

I was shocked to see anything less than an A for Farmington Auto Park LLC.
My family has bought 3 vehicles over the last 8 years and return for our repairs. Always recommend them to friends with confidence.
