As you can see from the very start in regards to the customer complaint his story of the transaction is not accurateYes *** * *** purchased a Dodge Ram Mega Cab Cummins from our dealership on 9/23/Shortly after leaving our dealership he
and his companion had sent his salesman a video of the A.C not blowing as it should, and not cooling the cab of the truck offAt that time the dealership did agree to help him out with the repair for any type of A.C concern that he hadWe have previously replaced every part from start to finish on the cooling system's in similar trucksThe highest shop bill that we have had to do so was $approximatelyWe felt it more than fair to send the customer a check for the repair for the $since most of the A.C system in this truck was working correctly and it did not all need replaced. This was simply a "Good Faith Gesture" and nothing moreThe fact that customer states we had been told there was transmission issue's is not correctHad an issue of that nature been mentioned we would not have allowed the customer to continue driving all the way home to VirginiaTo believe that the dealership would sell a vehicle with the AS IS purchase agreement signed, and then later replace a transmission in a truck that had been driven that far is simply not fair to the dealership. The truck was in fact totally stock when it was traded in to us by a very good previous customer who purchased a total of vehicle's from us over the yearsThe customer simply traded to obtain a heavier duty dual rear wheel truck, not because of any possible issue's with this oneThere has been the Missouri State Safety Inspection performed by an outside shop on this truckWe also did add the lift, tires and wheels on this truck to help sell it fasterIn this business and in our area the lift, tires and wheels are what gets the most and fastest attentionSince it is our business to sell every vehicle as quickly as possible this was nothing more than a logical choice for the companyOur company does the same thing on 85% of our trucksThere was an aftermarket warranty which could have been purchase for this truckDue to the fact that we lift, tire and wheel so many of our trucks, we signed up with multiple warranty companies which will allow us to cover trucks with up to a inch lift kit To dispute the age of the previous customer is simply a matter of opinionTo some he would be considered as a younger man, and others perhaps an older manThe fact is that this customer was in his early 30'sHe maintained the truck very well and never had it heavily off roadYes it is a diesel truck and was used for those purposesWhen a check engine light shows as stored it only means it's a Hard Fault, "More Serious light. We never erased any engine codes or lights due to the fact there where none present during the time we had the truck here Yes *** had called to peak wit Chris who informed him that the dealership would not help with the repair cost of the transmission due to the long drive, us being unable to verify how it was driven and the customer making the decision to purchase the truck iin AS I conditionI have hung up the phone on *** due to his lack of civil speaking skills, and lack of Missouri State Laws*** had insisted we send him a second temporary permit which is strictly against Mo LawWe have no obligation to this customer Ethically or morally in regards to his purchase

My name is *** *** and I am the General Manager For Farmington Auto PlazaAs we have great pricing on excellent vehicle's we often have customers from out of state, and at times multiple states awayWe always strive to make these transactions as easy as possible
for each and every customerOn or about October 15th of *** *** proceeded into a binding deal on a very clean and low mileage Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Arctic Addition"Auto History Included" This was a process over the course of several daysShe had spoke with my salesman *** *** to reach an agreed price, as well as terms*** would be securing the needed funds her self, and agreed to place a Deposit on the Vehicle of $5,to ensure our dealership that the Jeep would be purchased, and paid in fullAt that time we removed all listings for the Jeep, Placed the Jeep inside our Showroom, and marked it as soldIn the following time *** and her Father had arranged to fly to StLouis Airport where we offered to have them a driver to bring them the miles south to our locationIn other preparations for the Jeep Purchase the dealership had to "Pay Off" The Jeep to have the original title present at time of purchaseUpon arrival of *** and her father they browsed over the Jeep on the outside, and inside condition, they drove the Jeep on a test drive and returned shortly in the JeepAt this time the customers wanted to Negotiate an already Negotiated Price on the JeepThe father claimed the Jeep was beginning to show signs of rustI personally walked out to the Jeep with the father and noticed that an aluminum skid plate which each Jeep is equipped with, was showing slight surface rustThe dealership offered to replace this small part with a new factory skid plateOnce in conversations with the father and *** the Truth Came Out*** never truly wanted a Blue Color Jeep Nor a Manual Shift JeepShe had now found a White Automatic Jeep Unlimited which everyone she knew felt she should have an Automatic Versus A Manual*** entered into the Contract Knowing Our Jeep Was A ManualShe was looking and hoping for any reason to lay her poor choice on the dealershipThis Jeep was advertised a Pre-Owned Vehicle with less than 60k milesWe did not claim it was just off the assembly line, and never claimed it to be an Automatic TransmissionAt this time *** and her father wanted to leave to get back on the plane "Which They Had Previously Arranged" The company courtesy driver was not available, and they choose to call for a Cab. As previously stated the dealership was going to keep a portion of the deposit as NON REFUNDABLE due to the large amount of funds it cost the dealership in order to arrange for the driver, the vehicle title, and the loss of time for the vehicle to be sold as it was taken off the sales floorThis also cost the dealership added funds to pay the Jeep off the floor plan, pay to have it back on, and the extended days on the floor planAfter their return ***'s mother had called and requested that the sum of $3,be returned to *** without questionAfter adding our cost associated with the failed transaction due to lack of thought and planning on the part of the Customer, Farmington Auto Plaza offered to perform a wire transfer to ***'s account for the amount of $3,***'s mother accepted the offer, and asked to be contacted the following Monday to finalize the transactionFarmington Auto Plaza only requested that at time of Transfer the the Customer Signed and Waiver Holding Farmington Auto Plaza Harmless from any future financial advancements in regards to this transactionOn Monday as instructed I *** *** Called to get final instructions, account information, emails for the Waiver to be signed, and finish the transferUpon Calling the phone was now answered by the father of ***I asked to speak with *** or her mother at which time her father demanded to know the details of our agreementI informed him of all the details, and he began to yell, curse, and tell me he would never make that agreementAfter the cursing became more than enough I ended the phone callTried to contact *** and her mother each time getting no answerFarmington Auto Plaza feels that we have been more than accommodating in this situation, however we should not have to pay for a poor consumer choice after having a signed written agreementThanks *** *** General Manager

[redacted] had in fact contacted our sales manager Landon in regards to the purchase of a Limited Edition Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4 Door. In conversation she was worried the Jeep would sell before she could arrive, and Landon offered to allow her to place a Non Refundable...

Deposit. The deposit was made known, an acknowledgement form was faxed, signed and faxed back to us. The statement simply stated the deposit was Non-Refundable, amount, and date of deposit. Upon the customer arrival she and her father drove the Jeep. We offered to get the correct tool to replace a tire if needed. The customer stated that everyone was worried about her purchasing a Jeep that was Manual Shift, and that she had found her more desired vehicle of a White Automatic Jeep and intended to leave and purchase that Jeep. After her leaving the dealership an offer was made for a portion of her Non-Refundable Deposit to be returned. Customer, her mother, and her father all refused the offer and would only settle for a full refund. We tried to be customer minded and allow her a portion back. The reason we require Non Refundable Deposits is to cover our cost for taking an otherwise for sale vehicle off the market. We have daily interest charges, insurance fee's, and so forth in which still need paid. [redacted] had made a quick decision to place the deposit and purchase a Jeep which was not truly what she wanted. Unfortunate, however the error still falls onto the customer who made the error. Not the dealership who was 100% upfront in the Non Refundable Deposit.

On 02/22/2016 [redacted] purchased the 2003 Dodge Durango which was traded in to our dealership on 02/20/2016. [redacted] placed a $500 deposit to secure her purchase and allowed us to perform the Missouri State Safety Inspection and a full Detail as agreed.  The previous...

customer had paid the lien in full over 3 years prior and had lost the original lien release. A copy of the lien release was presented to [redacted] at time of vehicle and title pickup. The original received by US Mail was also forwarded to [redacted] a short time later.   The original warranty that was purchased by [redacted] for $200.00 normally retails for over $1,200. The warranty does have a processing time from the day the vehicle/warranty was purchased. Standard practice is that our dealership would mail the check in, and normally the warranty is processed within 24-72 hours after said warranty company receives the check. Our dealership received a phone call from [redacted] stating the warranty was not yet active. [redacted] was offered a full refund of her $200 or a new warranty with a different company. [redacted] asked for the cash refund, only to call back and request the warranty the next day. The warranty was wrote up, faxed to [redacted] for her autograph, and received back by us. We also mailed a copy of the warranty to Tasha's address. [redacted] is also welcome to stop in to our dealership during normal business hours to request a copy of any and all documents in regards to her purchase of the vehicle and warranty.
