Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour

Review: I booked a party on 1/16/2014 and signed into a contract with Farrell's for an event to be held on 3/29/2014 for 20 people. In the contract that I signed and sent to Farrell's on 3/21/2014 it confirmed my party for 7pm on 3/29/2014. The contract stated that they could not guarantee a party room, however there was no mention of not holding to the signed time of 7pm in the contract. I spoke on the phone with [redacted] (Unknown last name)at Farrell's on 1/16/2014 and 3/27/2014, as well as received written confirmation from [redacted] on 2/23/14 that we could arrive at 6:45 to set up. By 8:00pm we were not seated, and actually kept outside in the rain for the full hour and 15 minutes, based on them having "5 other parties" per the manager [redacted]. [redacted] stated that he would take half off our bill, however at that point they still had not held up the 7pm contract time, and we were not seated. At this point, I could not keep guests waiting any long and party arrangements were made at another establishment. [redacted] then stated that he would give us $300 credit for future visits, however again, the event had to be moved, I had to pay another establishment, move 20 guests from one place to another all due to my contract not be upheld. A contract that clearly limits the time that a party can take up party space. Going back to this establishment for future events will not be occurring. Farrell's contracts are not legitimate as they should state that event times cannot be guaranteed, and that there is no time limit on how long a party can remain in the space provided. Farrell's was very clear that the other events had gone over their time and they could not move them.Desired Settlement: Farrell's needs to adjust their contracts reg. the times of events as well as end times (See above). Additionally, I am requesting $100 in gas costs based on moving 10 cars to a new location and $200 in damages for not meeting a signed contract. Not credits to the establishment.

They have sent me a check for the full amount requested.
