Regards,
*** ***I do not understand why the vehicle that I was going to pull it with has even been bought into the issue of the trailer. You know and I know when I had the trailer approved by the State I would get a dependable vehicle to pull it. Bottom line is the trailer is not what it was suposed to be. It was not built according to the blue prints. The issues with it has prevented me from using it for a business.I did not follow thru on the business permits and etcbecause I did not have a trailer that the State would pass inspection on.I'm willing to send pictures of it if necessary. Paint peeling, top caved in and the AC was hanging down.

Farris Trailers3597 U.S. HWY 431 S.Beechmont, Ky. 42323To Whom It May Concern; this response is in reference to ID #[redacted]. Customer ordered a 2015 – 8’ X 20’ concession trailer, per his details, drawing and specifications the mentioned concession trailer. Due to the fact that the customer had no...

truck to pull trailer the delivery was made approx. March 1, 2015 to his address. Sometime during the summer months there was a roof leak. According to customer the roof was “peeling off”.   The mfg. company, [redacted], sent a truck to customer’s home address and pulled the trailer back to their facility, Douglas, Ga., approx. 300 miles each way. This was all at [redacted]’s expense. When they got the trailer to the plant they found that the roof was just a minor fix and could have been repaired in [redacted], Fl. where the customer lived. This was quite an expense to [redacted] mfg. that could have been repaired in [redacted] for a fraction of the cost.I was not present when the following took place but was told about it by the warranty manager at [redacted]. While the trailer was at [redacted], being repaired, the customer continued calling and threatening with law suits for one reason or another. They even got into a cursing match. This was the point where [redacted] said that they were through with any communications with this customer. Customer has been overwhelmed with business permits, health dept. inspections, and required procedure in starting a business in his area. None of these steps were completed. The customer called me earlier this year (2017) and ask again for a refund of his money. He sent pic. Of problems with the exterior metal. There was only 2 or 3 pcs. Involved in the problem. The metal has only a 1 year warranty and was not covered by mfg. warranty. I told him I would help him with the cost myself. The trailer would have to be taken to a dealership, in his area, for repair. He had no way to transport trailer and wanted a dealer to come to his place to make repair. He said that due to his health conditions he was unable to persue this business any further, he wanted a full refund. I told him that the trailer was 2-1/2 years old and I couldn’t give him a full refund. My policy, on special ordered trailers, is I received a non-refundable 20% deposit. Which I told him I would refund to him, providing trailer was in good condition. He would be responsible for transportation to my lot, Beechmont, Ky. He refused my offer stating that he owed more on the trailer than this amount. The conversations between the customer and myself, over the past few months, has made it obvious to me that this is the primary problem now and has been all along. Customer didn’t think through the expense(s) involved in starting a new business. He purchased the trailer and food equipment and this took all his working funds.  The trailer had to be towed to his address when it was new due to the fact he had an old pickup truck that was not capable of pulling this large trailer. He has expressed to me that he did not have the funds to purchase a newer truck.  This, added to his current health condition, has made customer seek any relief from this debt that he sees possible.. He is simply trying to get out from under the payment he is making on the trailer.

Again, all this is about is for the customer to be relieved from the monthly payment he is currently making on the trailer. But, I have attached a copy of [redacted]'s Warranty. This is [redacted]. warranty, not Farris Trailers. The warranty states that paint and metal are on a 1 year warranty, not 2-1/2 years. Should the customer have further questions he will need to contact [redacted] Mfg. @ Douglas, Ga. [redacted].
