Review: This company put in blacktop in my driveway. The owner, [redacted] contacted me to strike a deal and to meet my price I had to have him complete the job within 2 days of his call. I did what I could to get it done. He promised to do everything we agreed on and that he would be there at 9:00am to start the job. He didn't come until 2:00pm that day. My Dad did most of the moving of the fence,etc. The agreement was 3 inches of gravel and 4 inches of blacktop. My Dad was there but had to step out and when he returned they had spread the sand and pebbles I already had there but he did not see any gravel. He called to let me know but [redacted] assured me that he had put the gravel in and that when they moved it around to level the ground, it may have blended with the sand that I had there and was confusing my Dad. He also reminded me we had a contract and everything he did would be written down with a 5 year maintenance agreement. Having the contract in my hand, I felt more assured and paid him $2200.00 for his services. Approximately 3 weeks later, weeks and plants started coming through the blacktop which proved to us that indeed he had not put the gravel as promised. I have contacted [redacted] on various occasions. The first time he said he would look at his schedule and come back to take a look. After not hearing from him for 2 weeks, I called again and he was quite nasty letting me know that when he had a moment he would call me back. Again, after not hearing back from him for 2 weeks, I called him and he did not pick up ever after that. I have called him on several occasions. I am also filing a formal complaint for this company with the NJ Consumer Affairs office.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded to me for not satisfying our contract nor correcting the issue. He would literally have to re-do the job and I don't think I trust this man's services any longer.

Review: Had a fence installed and they did not completely finish the job. The main issue is that the gate they installed was never secured to the fence, house, or additional posts which are required. They also did not secure the fence with screws which is a good reason why the gate keeps falling off. We have 175lb Mastiff dog which we can not let outside anymore because the gate consistently falls off and has never shut securely. Their work is guaranteed. I have been trying to get in contact with them since the week they "completed" their work but they have not returned any phone calls, text messages, or voice mails. I have tried to reach out through numerous forms of communication and they are clearly avoiding my calls (don't understand why).Desired Settlement: Finish/Fix their original work

[redacted] ([redacted]) [redacted] of F.A.S. Contractors LLC paved my driveway September 30th 2013. Mr [redacted] said the work was Guaranteed for 5 years as does the contract. Soon after the driveway was installed it stared to scale and pit (the top layer is loose and coming off, now there is one area with a hole and multiple other areas where stone is coming off and pitting). I have called FAS Contractors and Mr. [redacted] several times, when I do contact him he gives me a date of when he will show up to view the problems to come fix it but does not show. Other times I leave a voice mail and I get no return call. The last time he agreed to show up on 4/24/2014, I called him the day before and he did not respond so I left him a voice mail to remind him of our appointment. He did not show or return my call. In addition we contracted for $2,500, Mr [redacted] pleaded with me that he made a mistake on the contract and he thought he was not going to remove the old section of driveway and he would need more money for the dump fees. So I wrote him a check for $3,000. Mr. [redacted] wrote on the contract that he was replacing 894 sq ft area. After the issues I am having I did some quick measuring and discovered that he did not replace 894 sq ft but measurable less.

FAS in NJ - Was hired for a paving job and the work is unacceptable. They promised to come back to repair the job and never showed up.Desired Settlement: They were paid $2,000 and the work they performed is unacceptable. Have tried to resolve this with [redacted]. He promised to show up to fix the job and never shows up.

He has been very nasty and I no longer want to speak to him.
