Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Fasco has made no overtures to correct the poor job so  i had no choice but to already file legal action against Fasco as they clearly wish to take no responsibility for their poor workmanship . I reiterate my willingness to advise the media of this case and show them images or the workmanship itself which is clearly not acceptable. Not one person I have shown our driveway to or have described it to have ever heard of a company paving over the bottom of a driveway door. I am not surprised that salesman doesnt agree as he has been unreasonable throughout the process I would think management would be different but it appears not or they have not even looked at it yet. We have a court date for December * in Small Claims court.

On June ** 2015, we filed a mechanics lien against [redacted]. We are currently pursuing a legal suit against [redacted], and as per our lawyer we cannot comment on the situation. We would appreciate if the complaint is taken off of our record. It should be noted that this complaint came in after we...

filed the mechanics lien and pursued a lawsuit. Prior to us filing a lien and a legal suit we offered a solution to the situation, and [redacted] was unwilling to come to any conclusion or provide payment for our services.Thank you,Fasco Asphalt Paving, Inc.

After looking into the file on Case #[redacted], I have found that our salesman is still in the midst of filing the court documents against [redacted]. We sent a certified letter to his home on October [redacted], giving him 10 days to provide payment before we will officially filing the paperwork.Thank you,[redacted]Fasco Asphalt Paving, Inc.

Review: We hired Fasco to complete our driveway. First off, we were told that the project would be started within a week when it took 3 weeks to start. The initial process was started and then were told we should wait 4 weeks before getting the actual paving done. In the meantime we had other work being done on our house, so the two times we were contacted that they wanted to pave, but we had to put it off due to the other work being done. [redacted], the office scheduler, explained to my husband that residential work would be not as frequent and we might have to wait awhile. We called on June [redacted] and [redacted] told my husband initially it would be 4 weeks as axhool lots were being done. When he expressed his concern, she them said it would be two weeks. It's almost two weeks so we contacted [redacted] to see if they would be coming early next week and she aid she didn't know when it would be done. My husband asked for the owners contact info and she refused to give it to him. He them asked for the owner to give him a call, and she said he shouldn't expect a call. When he continued to talk with her, she hung up on him. We then wrote emails to the office, the owner, on Facebook, etc, and never received a call, an email, nothing. They don't expect to get to us soon. Tired of waiting and tired of being ignored. Poor customer service. Not only are we complaining, but we see several complaints from others about [redacted] and her poor customer service. I would also like to add that they keep saying we were "warned" but I was also told by an employee that we should have our other work finished before we had the driveway paved so it wouldn't get ruined. This is exactly what we did so we shouldn't have to wait another two weeks or more. They can never even give us a date of when it will be done.Desired Settlement: We are having a party on the [redacted] of July with any children. The driveway is a hazard. I would like it paved Monday or Tuesday or next week at the latest. I would also like it is before booking jobs that they explain at times the wait will be much longer as they don't complete residential jobs. Maybe they should put that on their paperwork as well

Review: hired fasco to do my driveway and agreed to $7800 payment in three stages

had trouble with them all along here is a statement :

My interaction with Fasco Paving started with Mr M[redacted], the salesman. He provided a quote in fall of 2014 and said it would be no problem widening the driveway and that we can have it look just like both of our neighbors driveways which were pavers up to the street then a smooth transition to the street level. He said they preferred to leave a 1 inch lips to the street but agreed to do it as I asked which was pretty much a smooth entrance.

I had some trouble and got some run around trying to schedule the work so, in November, I told them to do it in the spring as I was concerned the weather was getting too cold to complete the job properly. I should have been a bit concerned when they said it was ok to do it during the winter and that they only stopped working in jan and February as its common knowledge that paving should not be done once it gets too cold, .

In April I contacted Fasco to proceed with my driveway. Again there were delays

But finally the crew came to do the first step of ripping up my driveway. The foreman suggested we change the way we were going to place the pavers since my garage door would get blocked since the porch is a few inches higher then the driveway and pavers could not slope down like asphalt was before but that they could pave it the same way as it was –sloped down. . I was surprised the salesman had not anticipated that problem but I agreed .

Then came the brick work – first time they came they put a bumpy Belgian block curb line which I objected too and they had to come back and change to pavers as we had first discussed. Then they put the pavers very high in a strange fashion so once gain they came back to fix it –each time I told the salesman to look right across the street to see what I wanted. It was on the third try when I spoke to the workers that I found out the sales man had not relayed anything we had discussed to them and they indicated that it was not unusual to have some trouble with his jobs as he never wrote anything down for them. This explained some of the trouble I was having. Finally the pavers were done at least what seemed correctly. The bricklayers had suggested I put pavers under my driveway door as it might be easier to do the paving under it since my driveway door is not currently a functional one and does not open. I agreed but they did not have enough pavers and the salesman Mike attempted to charge me $700 extra. I refused and just said it was ok to pave it. I made it clear as I had before that he had to pave under the garage and that it did not open as currently it was a closed door with a wall behind it. He never indicated it would be nay problem.

Please note on several occasions we discussed the fact that the garage door does not open and they had to work around that and pave under it. At absolutely no time ever did I indicate that it was ok to pave above the bottom of the driveway door.

Finally after a bunch of calls and being told how busy they were, the asphalt laying crew came for the final step. the foreman spoke to me on the phone and we confirmed he would slope the asphalt down from the porch as it was before so it would come even with the level of the garage door bottom. However, When I came home to make the final payment I was really quite shocked to see they had, in fact not sloped down as we discussed but paved right over the bottom of the garage door –they completely covered at least two inches of my garage door. In addition, the pillars base that was there was buried in the asphalt instead of sitting on top of the asphalt as its matching pillar 10 feet away was. Clearly these fellows were paying no attention to the job- it was late afternoon and they just wanted to go home. Additionally, the asphalt was sloppily pressed down over many of the pavers and in fact they had broken at least 12 of the pavers by rolling over them . Most of the pavers are scratched white because they rolled over them instead of just rolling over the pavement. The bottom of the garage door was all stained black and the pillar they had buried looked a mess as well. Finally, the paving that went from the street to the apron made of pavers pavers was sloppy bumpy and unfinished. Hence I refused to make the final payment of $1900 and told the guy I would speak to the salesman. Then, Lo and behold the salesman comes to look at the driveway later and inexplicably tells me its all good and normal!

He tried to tell me that its normal to cover the garage door when its not functional. Well I have biked and driven miles looking for anyone with a garage door covered in asphalt and have yet to find one . I refused to pay and asked him to try and figure out how to fix this problem. He had promised to fix any pavers that got broken during the paving but now refused saying he wanted money first doing the job correctly. Next thing I heard from his company was a certified letter from their lawyer showing the filing of a mechanics lien on my property. Absolutely no attempt was made to correct the issues only an attempt to bulldoze me by telling me it was all good and normal .

Fasco has shown itself to be an irresponsible company with salesman who say yes to everything then don’t relay to their workers what needs to be done and finally they do not take responsibility for their errors and fix them. This is clearly unacceptable and at this point. I don’t even want Fasco to correct the problem as I do not trust them. I just want my money back so I can find a more reputable company to correct the job. From what I gather from three other paving companies who have come to look at the driveway the only way to correct the problem is to redo the entire driveway as it is all set too high to pave below the garage door as it was originally.

I received one quote fro $2300 to fix the broken pavers and slope the driveway near the garage under the garage door but this risks water damage.

Photos of all these work defects are available and it can be seen quite clearly the job was done very poorly to say the least. You are more then welcome to visit my home and see for yourself Fasco’s poor workmanship.

Thank you for your consideration.

[redacted],Desired Settlement: I do not trust Fasco to correct anything so I seek refund of all paid funds in the amount of $5400 plus the release of the mechanics lien filed against my property. I will have to pay another company at least this much to redo the driveway .

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The answer from the business is a complete farce! Of course I have not agreed to pay balance as I have made it quite clear in my complaint why. I have photos to back up my complaint and I invite the Revdex.com and the media to come and inspect my property to see for themselves the ridiculous workmanship provided by the business. If only Fasco's lawyer would look at he job he would understand our position. A few photos are attached. Does anyone think its ok to pave over the the bottom of the driveway door?? Fasco has not answered calls and owners refuse to get on the phone. when I called to complain, The receptionist actually told me the owners dont deal with customers. I had no choice but to take action by filing a complaint.
