Review: Before signing the contract for carpet replacement, the owner told us the brand of carpet is Shaw. And we agreed with this brand. But, when the workers showed up, it was no brand carpet. Just because it was not written down on the contract, we had a verbal agreement. The owner refused to honor that. The owner knows that we plan to sell the house and deliberately used the poor quality carpet instead.Desired Settlement: The quality of the no brand carpet is bad. We should get partial refund for this.

I am rejecting this response because: the sample that owner showed to me was of brand Shaw. However, the actual installed carpet is of no brand name. That's what I am complaining about. I guess it is my bad not insisting to write down the brand on the order. But, this should be the binding verbal agreement.

Review: [redacted] Wood flooring was installed in the hall and on the stairs in October of 2013. Before the I purchased the wood the owner raved over how beautiful the floor would be after the wood gets installed. Instead, the stairs have looked horrible and been a nightmare. After about 2 months, the wood has already started to peel or scratch on the bullnose especially. I called the owner and told him that I think the [redacted] hardwood he installed was defective. I explained that I have never seen anything like this. After several calls he came out once to take a look. He promised after that visit he would bring a representative back from either the manufacturer or wherever he purchased the wood from, to inspect the wood. I was told by the owner, and I also recall seeing on the back of the wood that there was a 25 year warranty. It's already bad within 2 months. Initially the store owner was answering my calls but all of a sudden he stopped. I went by the store several times but it always seems to be closed. I am not sure if the store is still in business since I have not heard back from the owner and can never get him at the store. I would have expected that he would have replaced the wood by now. Meanwhile I am left to have to find someone to repair/replace the stairs that I just paid a couple thousand dollars to have installed. I am very disappointed with the service I received and will not do any further business with the company !!Desired Settlement: I think I am owed either replacement or refund for a faulty defective product that was sold and installed under false pretense. The quality is not what he claimed it was as well.
