So, we, Fashion Floors, came out a second time and replaced their floor. Due to the second installation. We found some issues with their slab, that we feel was causing the original problem. We brought it to their attention, however the customer felt there were no issues and had us install regardless.Our concerns were that there was moisture coming up from the slab. Also, in some areas the slab was cracking. (We have picture documentation of this as well.) We sent the documents in to Shaw Claim department. The independent inspector came out and said that they had reported 10-11% of moisture coming from their slab.The independent inspector also reported that there were 3-4 boards that were chipping, due to installation. August 3, 2017, we offered to return and fix the boards that were chipping, but we have no control over the moisture that is coming from their slab. We told them that they will have to address the slab issues before we are able to fix their floor. They wouldn't comply with these requests. Having continuous moisture in the slab would just lead to more issues with the floor.Regards,  [redacted]Fashion Floors

All concerns regarding the glue residue that was on the floor has been resolved. We have finished the repairs requested by Mrs. [redacted] and according to Mrs. [redacted] they are satisfied with job and happy with the outcome.

Not FIVE (5).1) Improper installation technique – core board fractured caused by excessive force. This is what caused the raised joints and corners. 2) Improper expansion gaps – installation concern.3) Improper Transition strips – installation concern.4) Leveling compound – installation related concern.Nowhere in 1 – 4 does it mention moisture being a concern. Nor does your pictures show excessive moisture. The chipped boards were done on the day of installation, as were all the other concerns. You can’t tell me all this occurred after a couple days past the install. There would have to been a flood.  Which would have showed more than 10% moisture. The inspector informed my husband that moisture wasn’t an issue. If it was it would be noted as concern # 5 wouldn’t it? If we had a foundation issue we would have large cracks in our walls, problems shutting or opening doors etc…None of these exist. This is TEXAS, it is normal to have shifting. That’s why you install a floating floor!!!  It was your job to install this floor correctly and you failed. Twice. We won’t be giving you a third chance. After the damage you did to our back door and the wall and the incorrect baseboards you installed? Seriously? As I told the owner earlier today, I have filed a complaint with my credit card company Discover (which is why I paid with the card, for my protection) and they will be sending their independent inspector to our home. We will have 3 reports backing our claim. If you really want to spend the time and money in court fine. If not, then do the right thing and just refund our money, $2,881.21. We are losing out by having to pay another installer and with inflation the cost we most likely increase. If you read the reports I submitted in this complaint, you will read that the fault lies with the company. Incorrect (improper) install. The company claim that these problems occurred over time is incorrect. After the second install the problems were immediate. Chipped floor, uneven floor was noticed next day. If foundation was an issue during the first install I don't think the company would have spend the time and money to re-install. The engineering report after 1st install was clear: incorrect install. Excessive force used...etc....it's all in the report. That should be all the evidence anyone needs to see who is telling the truth. We have filed a case against this company in small claims court. What they feel isn't important. What' is important is the engineering reports. They speak for themselves and back up our claims 100%.
