Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Date: Mon, Dec 11, at 2:PMSubject: Re: My E-mail AddressTo: *** *** *** ***, We are rejecting the claim because as the Owner of AAMCO stated they are proud to provide excellent service and customer satisfaction to which they failed to provide to usThey stated that any customer complaints are dealt expeditiously, to which I believe if that was the case, we would not be dealing with the Revdex.com to try and resolve this matterAs we stated in our original complaint, our car was not in driving order to which we had not moved (or driven the vehicle) in a couple of months in order to find the right shop to service such repair and later tow the vehicle to that shopThey stated that upon inspection, they discovered that the vehicle would not shift out of gear and a code of *** in their computerThat is where they went wrong, since when we originally brought the car to their shop, we specifically told them that two different certified mechanics told us we needed to either install a new transmission or have it rebuiltBoth mechanics were not specialized in such work, to which they referred us to a shop that specializes in transmissions, the reason we sought services from AAMCOWe came to their shop knowing what our vehicle needed as oppose to not knowing why the vehicle was unable to be driven properlyBefore they serviced the vehicle, I reiterated the fact we needed a new transmission where they reassured me I did not and that I only needed to fix such components, *** and conductor plate. We received the vehicle back from AAMCO on July 8th to which the vehicle only worked properly for full day, the vehicle showed signs of the original complaint of not driving due to the gear getting stuck in gearWe had to wait until Monday July 10th (due to the fact they are closed on Sundays) in order to call and complain of the repairs they did and the vehicle not properly drivingThey stated that our vehicle worked fine for a few days, which are claimsAfter speaking to the manager (Doug) on Monday July 10th, he stated to bring the vehicle back for them to reinspect itWe then had to tow the vehicle back to their shop on July 11th after arrangements were made on July 10thUpon further inspection, they determined there were internal damages to the transmission of it being driven in gear prior to the vehicle coming to them, which was a problem the vehicle obviously already had and not something supposedly that was caused after the repairs they performedDuring that inspection, they pulled the transmission from the vehicle in order to determine the exact problem, something they should have done the first time since we came to them with the known issue of our vehicleI also have a problem with the claims of them stating they disassembled it at their own expenseThis specific AAMCO location knew we came to them with a known issue, they decided to not look into it but instead connect our vehicle to a computer which only stated a code and inspect the vehicle on a superficial level, charge us $for this code repair ($to be exact), and then after the vehicle breaks down again within hours of leaving their shop, they then want to correctly diagnose our vehicle of needing a new transmission, a $repair or $for us to purchase and bring them a new transmission and only pay for the installationIn their claim, they stated they pulled our vehicle's transmission and determined there was internal damageThe final determination of us needing a new transmission, something they failed to acknowledge since it would prove they did not properly inspect the vehicle the first timeAfter we went back and forth about our repairs and how we had told them on our initial visit of us needing a transmission and now ($later) have them tell us yes that is what your vehicle really neededWe decided not to have further repairs done from such an unethical companyNot once did they acknowledge that they failed to thoroughly inspect our vehicle or that our charges of $would go towards the installation of a new transmissionWe also asked them if we would have installed a new transmission would the repair of the *** and conductor plate be part of the installation of a new transmission, the manager of AAMCO (Doug) stated YesThe installation of a new transmission would included a new *** and conductor plate, proving that those were not separate repairs but in fact repairs that would have been includedWe were not looking for a temporary or quick fix of our vehicle, we wanted a fully functioning vehicle to be able to get back and forth from work and other daily activities. They also stated the customer was not charged for the service of fully inspecting the vehicle by pulling the transmissionI also have a problem with this claim since after we denied any more services from an unethical company, they typed up a service claim of $for such inspection (the exact amount of money we would have paid them to install a transmission if we would have purchased one from a part shop), when those were the arrangements made on July 10th of them inspecting why the vehicle was not running properly after services they providedAfter no agreement could be reached since they refused to relinquish our vehicle, we then contacted the Charles County Sheriff's Office, where Officer Collins came and took a call for service where it was noted they would return our vehicle that following MondayAt that point, they returned our vehicle at no charge, something they should have never attempted to do and where we felt they did not want such attention from the policeThe police were also contacted due to the fact the manager of AAMCO (Doug) gave us a complete run around on approximately separate occasions when he continued to inform us we would be able to talk to the owner about our vehicle's issues, repairs, and charges but arranged such opportunitySince we continually came to their shop without speaking to the owner or coming to an agreement of them charging us for unnecessary work we decided to push our matter further. By us seeking services from this AAMCO location we lost the $for unneeded repairs and the $of the tow from their shop after they finally admitted what our vehicle really neededThis company is based on trust, quality, and valueThree things they failed to provide usThey definitely broke our trust or help establish oneThey definitely did not provide quality workThey also do not value anything, whether it is their customers, the service they provide, or the reputation they want to carryAfter dealing with them, their reviews is nothing but majority negativeA lot of the true customers (customers that seek tedious auto care) have had bad experiences and wrote negative reviews which are very similar to the issues we have experienced. Kind Regards,*** ***

iD ***Dear *** ***,As a member of the Waldorf business community since we are most proud of our excellent service and customer satisfactionAny customer complaints are dealt with expeditiouslyam Writing today in reference to correspondence from you dated November 17th with the above
D*** *** had his *** *** *** Wagon towed to us with a complaint of not movingThe Vehicle had apparently sitting for a number of monthsUpon inspection we discovered that the vehicle did move, but would not shift out of gear, the transmission was low on fluid and a code of *** was stored in the computerThe leak was determined to be around the case connector, which is very Common for this transmissionThe code of *** has to do with a Speed Sensor error which would Cause the transmission not to shift, this is also a common failure in what is called the Conductor PlateWe recommended replacing both of these components as well as the fluid, filter and gasket. We received customer approval on July 3" and proceeded with the repairUpon completion the vehicle Was test driven and found to be shifting normalThe vehicle was delivered to the customer on July 8" and he drove it homeThe vehicle apparently worked well for a few days, but it was towed to us on July 11" with a complaint of not movingUpon further inspection we determined that there Was internal damage to transmission which was most likely caused by vehicle being driven 1n gear prior to coming to us the timeWe did pull the transmission from the vehicle and disassembled it at our expense to determine the extent of the damage doneAt the customer's request we reassembled the transmission and installed it back in the vehicleThe customer was not charged for this service. At this stage We are confident that all factory recommended procedures have been followed to diagnose the Original reported problem as well as repairs, and the subsequent hidden problem, which Was Caused by driving the vehicle in fail safe mode prior to the initial repair Therefore we are not in a position to provide any further compensation to the customer at this time.Regards,Manuel B
