Review: Below is a letter I sent to my credit card company ([redacted]) which tried to resolve this dispute two times since Sept 2014 without a resolution:__________Oct **, 2014Dispute Letter to [redacted]Inquiry and Dispute CenterCase# [redacted] (Reopened from [redacted])Dear Staff at [redacted],I am submiting additional documents for this dispute of $529.48 for 2 scam tickets, for which I had called both the merchant and [redacted] before I left for [redacted] from [redacted] prior to departure. (Please see file: [redacted])I was told by a [redacted] friend who knew staff at the ** Fashion Week to be very concerned about my tickets before the show because of the way my tickets were purchased, not easily online like I did. I called the merchant and found that they were not only vague about the purchased show and designer (which they should know since tickets were supposed to be sold for specific designers), but they also arbitrarily changed the tickets' date from 9/*/14 o 9/**/14. I would have left [redacted] (my return date was on 9/*, file: [redacted]) and have told both [redacted] and the Merchant the previous [redacted] and [redacted] before departure and the show. The merchant stated there was nothing they could do about it, and asked me to keep the tickets for next year.Even if I could stay for the "changed" tickets, the time (9/**/14, [redacted]) was not the show I purchased. It was not even a real [redacted] Fashion Week Show. According to the Official Schedule (please see file: [redacted]), the last show happened at [redacted] on 9/**/14 ([redacted] presented by [redacted] at Theatre of [redacted]). The time, and place, of the alleged "show" was by no means part of, or consistent with the ** Fashion Week Official Schedule....Would you please help me resolve this very painful experience as soon as possible? Thank you for your helpDesired Settlement: I am requesting for a full refund as no service has been received. All refund/purchase policies stated or claimed by the company (merchant) were given to their customer (myself) only after the tickets were generated, and not given to their customer (myself) before, and therefore legally ineffective at the point of purchase or transaction.

Review: Scam/Fraudulent misrepresentation:

In September 2015, I purchased two tickets through New York Fashion Week Inc. ([redacted]) for a fashion show on Feb. [redacted] in New York.

I received an email containing an attachment with what they labeled as "tickets" immediately after completing the purchase online.

Four months later, I received an email stating that:

"We wanted to reach out with regards to your New York Fashion Week Voucher purchase for February **, 2016 show. We regrettably inform you that we have oversold tickets to the February 2016 New York Fashion Week Event. The demand exceeded the supply of the available seats, hence we processed vouchers on the first come first served basis. At this time, we can either process full refund on your order back to the original form of payment or you can reserve your current voucher for the September **, 2016 show."

As you will note, even though they had already sent an email four months prior with what they referred to as "tickets" in their cancellation email, they claim that they were only vouchers. In addition, they claim that they were already oversold at the time that I purchased them 4 months prior, and it took them 4 months to notify me of this fact. In the meantime, I had spent month on travel/hotel to attend this event.

After speaking with a representative, it became clear that at a minimum, they have a policy of drastically overselling tickets in order to fill their subsequent shows, and they do not disclose that policy anywhere on their site or ticket, which constitutes fraudulent misrepresentation, and their is a chance that the entire enterprise is a scam.

The representative whom I spoke with promised to book me tickets for a comparable show at the same time and area of NY, and instead the next day I received an email stating that they were refunding my tickets.

I want to help other people avoid this scam, and waste money on travel/hotel in reliance on the "tickets" that they send out.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to advertise that they have a policy of overselling, and that the ticket they send is only a voucher, and that they have little chance of getting what they think they are buying.

I would also like to be compensated for the hotel I booked four months ago, and can no longer be refunded for.
