I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is somewhat satisfactory to me The company, however, does not seem to understand that my complaint was not about their service, but about their sales techniques, or the techniques of the sales rep that came to our houseI have received a call from the company saying the same thing that their written response did, but I decline to discuss this with them any further as they just don't seem to get it! I will just make sure that anyone I know is aware of their door to door techniques of misrepresentation and not to do business with them if that's how they choose to represent themselves.*** ***

Review: We agreed to have our house serviced by this company. They did not set/confirm next appointment, came anyway and entered our back yard without auth.

We entered into agreement with Fast Action that they would spray for spiders around our house. The gentleman was very nice and business like. I was hesitant at first due to the required need for my credit card number. However as I said we agreed. The first appointment came and went without issue. However, the person next came to my house without a scheduled appointment, without me agreeing that the time and date would work. They entered by backyard without authorization or without my knowledge. My husband happened to be home and caught the guy in our yard. I called to complain about this and cancel our service based on our broken trust and was told that not only would I have to pay for today's service but would also need to pay $100.00 for the cancellation of further services. Further more when I was on the phone complying about them not calling before hand and wandering in my yard I was told that this was common when they don't have a note for preauthorization. Desired Settlement: I feel that this company has caused great mistrust in me I don't want them here. They did not have my permission to come into my back yard nor did they have my permission to carry out their work on that day. Based on the fact that they were trespassing and did not have my authorization to do the work conducted on that day I do not feel that I owe them the $100.00 cancellation fee.

She neglected to mention the part where her husband CHASED [redacted] OFF WITH AN UNSHEATHED SAMURI SWORD!!! HE TOLD [redacted] HE WOULD KILL HIM! That is the craziest thing I have ever had happen in all my years doing pest control. [redacted] is lucky we did not press charges for assault with a deadly weapon! [redacted] did nothing threatening, was wearing a company uniform and driving a company truck. [redacted] knocked loudly before he went in the backyard. [redacted] signed a service agreement for us to be on the property to treat the front and the back yard. It clearly states which months we are scheduled to come.

While I did sign a service agreement that had the months to be serviced, it did not give specific dates nor times for that service. Further, I did not understand that it would give them all access to our property at any given time without our permission for a specific day and time. I have never had a company just show up whenever was convenient for them without a prior appointment for that day. It does not matter that the worker knocked loudly or was in a uniform nobody answered the door. My husband did not know who was in our yard just that someone was in our yard. As for pressing charges, I have already spoken to the local police and they have reassured us that given my husband did not know who the guy in our yard was nor did he chase the man past our property once he started to leave that no laws were broken on our end.

The point of this complaint was simply so that others would understand, where I did not, that Fast Action would come over when convenient for them without a scheduled appointment, would enter the backyard, without permission and continue their work and of course charge you for the work done (which would be right, except I had no knowledge of the funds coming out). Further when I called and spoke to the receptionist and told her that I felt what they did was wrong (showing up and charging us when no appointment was made, and entering our yard without permission)and that given the situation, both from our view point and from theirs (given my husband), I did not trust them, and they would not be welcome back not to mention their feelings toward my husband (I wouldn't want to come back).This was no longer a conducive relationship. I also stated that I would send them a check for the work they did complete since I no longer felt safe with my credit card in their possession and cancelled it. The receptionist then told me that there was a $100.00 fee for cancelling the service before one year. You violate my trust and confidence and expect me to pay?! And since this incident, calling and leaving a voice mail angrily telling me that my complaint is ridiculous and how we are lucky you didn't press charges doesn't make the matter better. It was threatening and unnecessary.

On the agreement, the months in which we would come out for service were marked. We did not have our customer marked for Pre-notify when contract was signed. After speaking to customer, the option to Pre-notify prior to service was offered, but was declined. We have waived the $100 cancel fee in hopes that we can move forward and have no further issues.

Review: A representative of this company came to my mother's home attempting to sell her a service that covered one year total. His method of selling was to use the names of several of our neighbors, saying that they had already signed up for this service. I asked my mother to tell him we would talk it over and let him know. (I live with my mother who is 88 yrs old). Before we could discuss it my mother decided to sign up STRICTLY ON THE BASIS OF HAVING SEVERAL OF OUR NEIGHBORS USING THE SERVICE MAY ELIMINATE SOME PROBLEMS IF WE WERE ALL USING IT. They scheduled the initial visit for a few days later.They did show up for the initial visit, 2 hours early. Just before they finished one of our neighbors happened to call so my mother asked how he liked his initial visit. It turned out that he had NOT signed up & had no intention of doing so. Nor had his other neighbor signed up. Feeling that this had been totally misrepresented to my mother I immediately called the sales rep and told him to cancel our service with no future billing as he had misrepresented this to my mother. I also called and spoke to [redacted] in their office & relayed the same info to her.When I had called the sales rep back he told me that several other neighbors had signed up. In checking with these neighbors, only one of them had done so.I talked to [redacted] once more & told her she had better rein this guy in or it may ruin their business. She responded that she would talk to him.I do not feel that [redacted] took this problem very seriously, and maybe this is how they train their sales reps; I don't know. But I do feel this was total misrepresentation, as well as taking advantage of the elderly (my neighbors as well as my mother).Desired Settlement: I would like to make sure that my mother receives no charges whatsoever from this company. She paid the $30 agreed price for the initial visit, but I made sure neither she nor I signed any type of contract.I just want to make sure that this type of sales pitch stops and is not used by any of their sales reps in the future.I do not like to see people get ripped off and coaxed into signing long term contracts by this type of spiel.

Review: WE ARE BEING BILLED FOR SERVICES WE DID NOT WANT, month to month service notified tech due to construction we wanted services stopped. We would start again when ready. He came out anyways when we were not home. In getting in back yard he forced the gate and broke it. We tried to resolve directly with them. We do not feel we owe for the 2 months in question and if anything we are owed for gate replacement.Desired Settlement: They need to stop their pursuit with collection company or we will counter for replacement of fence and yelp our experience. I want my account balance at zero and if we have a negative credit inquiry damages for that and a full reversal on all credit bureaus.

Response:

Per our agreement, once year agreement has been met, service continues unless otherwise cancelled. Service was cancelled as of January 2014, after both services in question were performed. We worked out an agreement with wife that we would only charge 1/2 of service in Oct due to gate damage. She agreed to pay the amount and said she would send in payment. Payment was never sent in, and contact was not made to dispute amount until last week.

I am rejecting this response because:

Yes, service is month to month but we specifically said to stop and they have notes confirming this...we would call them when ready to start again. The tech came out twice while not home. They acknowledge that error and cut one month in half. In talking with my wife I found out she was going to just pay it. I disputed it based on the fact we did put a hold on service and they broke our gate. That gate is $485 to replace so hopefully we can resolve or I will need to pursue for damages to the gate.

We did skip one month of service, and before the past two services we called prior to coming out. We never received a call back letting us know service was not wanted or needed at the time. We will waive the amount owed.
