Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: It's very simpleThis business has several complaints on sites like Yelp and Facebook citing the exact issues I just hadCustomers dealing with poor customer service and being ripped off regarding carb issuesSee [redacted] And this business is notorious for not answering phones or returning messages so leaving voicemails recently were pointlessI have physically gone in and left messages with the female in the back office (behind the counter)...and NOT one time was I ever contacted during the course of my bike being fixed, which again was 3-monthsI initiated all contactSo any claims of "lies" are another example of this business lacking proper customer service skills"Stand by our work" does not apply hereAt no time were any "winterization" tips or services offered outside of pouring gas treatment into the tank for bike storage, even after explaining past problems with storage and that it would be stored againI am not the expert, supposedly they are, so when I pay $to have my bike fixed, follow their only offered instruction exactly, and the bike is not running again 4-months later...you'd think the business would at least offer to take a look at bikeYes, the bike drove out of there and worked for a few weeks after...but this isn't why I wanted it fixedThere is no reasonable explanation why $paid toward fixing this motorcycle resulted in the SAME EXACT ISSUE 4-months later unless the bike was not fixed or the storage "tip" was improperSo this business can claim proof on what I did or did not do all day long...they are the one that was paid to service this motorcycle, not meShifting blame back on the client that paid them is purely ridiculousSincerely, [redacted] ***
Rebuttal REPAIR The motorcycle was brought in with carburetor and poor running issues Upon removal they were found dirty and were rebuilt and cleaned The charges the customer paid were for the repair services and nothing else The Kawasaki motorcycle then ran properly and customer paid for services rendered and rode the bike for the rest of the riding season the price paid for this service is approximate industry average for the work that was done WINTERIZATION The customer was told what product we use when winterizing motorcycles Fats Bikes IncDID NOT WINTERIZE THIS VEHICLE It is not even proven that customer winterized motorcycle or if it was done properly with a reputable product He did not pay us for winterization If he did we would gladly be responsible but this is not on us If customer was in question on winterizing he could of contacted us for assistance he did not he lives blocks from our facility Winterization seems to be a problem with this customer he first brought it to us for dirty carburetion and low and behold it seems that it has happened again On another note when he brought his motorcycle to us he was extremely upset at the last shop he had it at for service CURRENT FUELS The ethanol (alcohol) in gasoline these days is very hard on small carbureted engines, motorcycles and boats It is possible to buy non ethanol premium fuels in the Portland metro area We even have list of the places to purchase those fuels at our shop We stress to every customer the importance of buying good branded premium fuels and preferably non-ethanol Dirty carburetion is one of our most common services every spring within the motorcycle industry CONTACT The statement that he tried to contact us in April and May of this year is an outright lie We receive 20-per day during those months and have a working answering machine We have email addresses that are also working He again lives blocks from our facility
