The customer (a man) came in and asked about sizing his wife's ringThe jeweler inspected the ring and then proceeded to explain that we would need to add gold as it was going up sizes and that because it was going up sizes that it could
effect the stones and the jeweler would have to go back and correct the stonesSo to size the ring up would cost $The man said okay and left to talk to his wife, who was waiting somewhere for himThe man comes back with his wife about an hour and a half laterThe wife then asks why is the cost $when another store is quoting her $The jeweler then explained to her the same way he explained to her husband about the processThe jeweler also said that the price they were quoted elsewhere was a good deal and why not just go over there? I don't know if maybe distance was a factor but the wife then asked how long would it takeThe jeweler told them it would take about hourHe then also told them that since the ring was going up sizes that the setting and structure of the ring can become too stressed, and if that were the case that the ring would be oval a littleThe customers decided to leave the ring and have it sizedThe husband came back about an hour and a half laterThe jeweler showed him the ring and the husband was happy with it and said the ring looked completely differentHe then paid the $took the ring and left the store happyThen a couple hours later the wife calls and says that there's a dent on the bottom of the ring and that you can tell where it was sizedShe also kept saying that it was too expensive and that she was not happy having paid that much for the sizingThe jeweler explained that the husband saw the ring before leaving the storeBut that there's nothing he could do over the phone and that if they could bring the ring back in so he could see what she was talking aboutThe customer said she was not able to come back that day and said she would come back the next day to show the jeweler the ringShe never came back to show the jeweler the ring and to have it corrected (if necessary)We would have been more than happy to help her but she never gave us the opportunityWe do not feel a refund is warranted as the customers signed the ticket and agreed to the $costWe were not negligent and were denied the opportunity to correct what the customer is complaining aboutAlso we would like to address the fact that the jeweler was rude and smug, if that were the case then why did they leave the ring? There was no pressure or obligation to leave the ring if they were uncomfortable with the situationWe have the original claim ticket and are able to provide that if necessary

All lies! Jeweler said to come in at 10, we didThe shop was closed! Nothing about the ring becoming oval was ever mentionedCalled less than an hour later and have phone records to prove thatHusband said no such thingHusband said it didn't look like anything at all was done to the stones and nothing was doneHusband was not happy, husband was not anything, he simply picked up the ring and leftAs an example of the jeweler being rude and smug, yes we came in and hour and half later and were told- I said
