Took my car in for an oil change and now the car does not run!I took my car in for an oil change at Fast Lube in Garner on Technology Drive on Tuesday.After leaving from getting the oil change my car was hesitating.I got home and tried to start my car on Wednesday and it would not run!Now it has been almost 7 days without a running car and the owner is refusing to do anything about it and will not return my calls! I have had a mechanic tell me there is a relearn that it needs however Fast Lube does not have the machine to do it and refuse to have anyone work on it because they said that there is no way they could have caused the issues!I had absolutely no issues before taking my car in and now I have a car that is a new lawn ornament!Desired SettlementI want the car back the way it was before bringing it inFinal Consumer Response /[redacted]/The owner has contacted me and has advised he will work to make this right if it is found to be their fault. The car is currently at an independent auto mechanic and we are waiting to hear what the issue is.

Wheel fell off of carMy daughter went to Fast Lube Plus to have an oil change. The store in Holly Springs rotated the tires even tho she specifically told them not to.Several weeks later a wheel came off of the car!!Subsequently, the "manager" of the location stated that it was her fault!!The person who came to help her said that ALL of the lug nuts had come off!!As my name is also on the title as I am paying for the car and I also pay for ALL maintainence I attempted to call the CEO/owner. I called the number on their web page and got the manager of a completely different store the manager of which was very polite. He told me that he would have "[redacted]" call me.[redacted] did call me and almost immediately called me a liar!![redacted] stated that my daughter had told them to rotate the tires even though he says she did not!He can not produce the work authoization even though we have asked for it.He also ststed that she brought the car in with "temporary tags" on it. Since I brought the car over a year ago in Florida, I don't understand how that is possible!![redacted] then asked me if I paid for the brake job to which I refered him to my previous statment that I PAY FOR ALL MAINTAINENCE and asked how he knew that a brake job had been done as I knew they did not do it!! I got no reply! I can only assume that they were the LAST ones to remove tires!They also informed me that they had video of their tech puting the tires back on but no videos of the lug nuts being put on to specs.A mechanic asked to see the logs for the pressure for the tools and was denied.I do not appreciate being called a liar not to mention this it wanted me to believe him instead of my daughter!!I can hardly wait to get ALL paperwork from this exemplary company!Desired SettlementI want my $128 for an oil change + 225 deductible on my daughters insurance an apology from these it! Convenient Could you please provide that information?Final Business Response /[redacted]/Just to set the record straight, when I spoke to Mr. [redacted] in the parking lot of the Holly Springs location I told him that I was not going to argue with him and this is what we have insurance for, to deal with situations like these. I told him I was sure my insurance company would reject the claim based on the video. I did then call my insurance company and open a claim, claim #XXXXXXXXXX. On July 7, your insurance company called me and investigated the claim. I spoke to [redacted] from [redacted] Ins Co. She asked for a copy of the service video, which I emailed to her on 7/7 @ 12:07 PM. I even followed up with her on 7/7 @ 5:06 PM making sure she received the information. She never responded to either email.

Went in for an oil change, at checkout I find out addition services were done to my vehicle. Never agreed or asked for those services. Forced to pay.On Wednesday, October 30th 2013, at around 2:50p.m, I drive to the back of the Fast Lube Plus, in Holly Springs, where you go to drop off your car and tell the person who greets you exactly what you want done to your car. I'm greeted by [redacted]. I tell him, "I just come for a oil change, I want to get the synthetic blend, I've been running conventional." He replies, "ok we can get that done for you." I go inside and wait in the lobby. I am then greeted by [redacted] another worker who comes in the lobby from outside. He comes to ask me if I would like a oil system cleaning done. I tell him, "I do not want it, but I do have a question about the synthetic blend oil which I was going up to from conventional." He clearly explains to me what I'm getting. [redacted] comes back inside and now in his hand is showing me what my transmission fluid looks like, and what it should look like, also has my brake fluid. (This process is always done when I come here) but I tell him, "I will have to do that on another visit, I know it needs to get done from my last visit (which was a tire rotation) just haven't got to it." [redacted] comes back again, now with my air filter and tells me that I should think about changing it. I once again deny the service. I will say [redacted] gave me the best experience I have or ever will have had since going to Fast Lube Plus. He was kind in offering those services and even tried to be relatable. Knowing that it is pricey and also that he understood you can not get it all taken care of at one time. My other experiences have always been hostile. As they finish they move my car from the garage to park it outside, I now meet [redacted]. He finds my car and name on the computer and goes down the list of services which were done on my car. When he gets to Vehicle Inspection, I say, "Car Inspection, I didn't ask for a Car Inspection!" He leaves the counter to find the greeter. Returns and says, "The guy that greeted you is gone, I'm gonna have to call him, he left at 3:30p.m and its 3:30p.m now." He calls the greeter ([redacted]), no answer. [redacted] now inside, knows nothing about a car inspection, (the person who has been talking to me the whole time) goes to check when my car needed inspection, he comes back and says November, and also says but you I have a 60day grace period. [redacted] looks just as clueless as I do. [redacted] also makes it very clear he knew nothing and even apologized. I found out [redacted] was new and had only been working there for 4 months now, but I couldn't tell his experience at all, what I could tell was he had a genuine and sincere heart. So I'm standing there wondering who, what, when, and how did this happen and how I should react. I make it clear that I did not at all ask for that service to be done. It was unsure how it happen. But I feel like I was taken advantage of and that it was crooked. The Manager which is [redacted], who was the last one I spoke to at the counter seemed like he didn't care. Being a customer that has come back time and time again because that location is convenient to me has noticed [redacted]'s personality. He makes a visit hostile and uncomfortable. He is very pushy when it comes to the services that the computer recognizes and not in a caring way. [redacted] makes you feel like you've made the worse choice of your life if you don't get a service done. He doesn't care about giving great customer service, he rather make your invoice as high as he can get it when your there, he doesn't think about a person returning. He rather suck you dry while he has you in the shop. His personality is very clear and it shows. I paid for the bill and left. I wasn't given a choice. I was very sincere and was fully unaware that addition services were being done to my car. I felt as though they could have come back with anything added to my bill and I would have to settle for it because its already done. But what if I didn't have the money to cover those addition services? I was put in a situation where I was forced to pay more!Desired SettlementI was unaware of the addition services that were done to my vehicle on Wednesday, October 30th 2013. I get to the register to find out that my car got inspected, in addition to the oil change which I only went there for that day. On top of the inspection there was also a $10.00 window tinting test fee. This was unbelievable. I want the money back from the NC Car Inspection and also the $10 window tinting test fee. I didn't ask for those services to be done. Even if the system allows you to do those services because the car is upcoming on inspection, Me the customer has to agree or be notified. I am dissatisfied about the service on a customer side. An all around bad experience. I do not want that to happen to other people. I do not want other customers to be taken advantage of, or feel pressured into paying more. Business Response /[redacted], When you are right, you are right. I will gladly refund you the money for the State Inspection and window tint test. We had a total lack of communication in the shop that day and there are no excuses. When the greeter saw you looking in your glove box for the coupon he assumed you were looking for the registration for an inspection. Someone asked what services were on the Honda and the greeter called out inspection. Your vehicle was actually due in November and you would have had to have it done anyway, but I understand your point. I will gladly issue a refund on your card, mail you a check, or issue you store credit. Your choice. I just want you to know there was no ill intent here by anyone. My son and I own this business and are local residents. We appreciate your business and hope to see you back there. Your comments about [redacted] have been noted and will be addressed. Thank You. I went to the location in Holly Springs where the incident occurred, they were notified about the refund, and the issue was resolved.
