Review: My car insurance broker pays my car insurance every month for me with auto pay to my insurance company. This month I discovered he did not pay and by this time my car insurance was canceled due to non-payment. I called him several times to find out what happened, left several voicemails on different days and he did not return my phone calls. I called insurance company to explain what happened. They let me pay on phone to re-instate me, but I had to pay over $25.extra to get them to renew my car insurance. What is so bad about this is I had a DUI in Feb. of this year and am required by law to have insurance at all times. I could of been in big trouble, because of him not doing his job. If he had said, I don't think I can do this, I would of found a different way to pay them on time. I was without insurance and didn't even know it until 6 day's after it was expired, because I trusted him to do his job. The only reason I discovered it, was I was checking my bank balance on phone, discovered there was more money in there than there was supposed to be, so I asked banker if the car insurance payment was showing and went through. They said there was no payment from this person. I am as poor as a church mouse, being on SSDI. I spent whatever money I had left on my grandkids for christmas,not figuring there would be a problem like this happening. I was lucky I had a refund coming back from an internet company or I would be without insurance period, because of the extra $25. or more I had to pay to re-instate me. I was going to use the rest of the over $25. for groceries. This is a great hardship on me. I am furious that this company did this to me. What is happening to these companies of today. They don't care about their customer and should go out of business as a result. I want the extra money I had to pay to insurance company, because of his dropping the ball. It is not my fault and he should compensate me for his whatever it was reason that he did not pay.It's really weird, he did not call me back.Desired Settlement: See above, it explains it all. I want partial refund of what I had to pay extra to get my car insurance re-instated. I would not of had to of paid that extra money, if he had paid when he was supposed to. There is no excuse for this. He needs to own up to causing this problem.
