Trike was picked up by Fatboyz and they were tasked with repairing non running condition Trike would only run on manual chokeOn June 4, proprietor, one Freddie G***, advised Fatboyz needed charges be brought current & when offered credit card was also advised original exhaust pipes leaked, were unrepairable and could replace with single pipe for $additional which was added to bill-total $Several months, one store location move, and several missed promised completion dates later, was advised that single pipe wouldn't work and original 'unrepairable' pipes were reinstalledWas told trike was ready around 8/and as relations with Freddie had become somewhat contentious by now and the dent in the gas tank having been noticed by my son on a visit to the shop several weeks prior, I didn't want to pick up the trike when Freddie wasn't there and without a receipt reflecting all repairs madeWas finally able to catch Freddie at the shop on 8/to take delivery of the trike When asked what he was going to do about the dent he vehemently denied his shop had done it, and that it was done by somebody's knee before his people picked it up I just as vehemently told him that was not the case, my son was a witness when it was picked upIf Freddie had taken the time to closely examine the dent he would have seen slight scratches in the center that could likely had been put there by a jack handle, another shop tool handle, a myriad of other shop articles, oh, or just maybe a knee with sandpaper glued to itHe then told me to get off his property and then threatened to shoot me & told one of his employees to 'get the gun.' He mentioned he had been working on bikes for years and was an expert and could recognize a shop dent and I was stupid for not knowing that purported factFixing bikes under a shade tree for years hardly makes him an expert as evidenced by his misidentification of the scratches in the center of the fuel tank dent which hardly could have been put there by a clothed or unclothed kneeAt this point he went in to deal with the request my wife had made for an itemized receipt so I left with the bike Original pipes were reinstalled incorrectly and bike will not idle without application of manual choke$for the single exhaust pipe not recovered and was retained on the flimsy excuse that it was used to cover labor for repairs to and replacement on trike of the previously 'unrepairable' dual exhausts originally on the trike It seems that an "expert" should have known that the single exhaust pipe they selected that wouldn't fit on a 3-wheeler - which is what Freddie said was the problem - beforehand
Not only did Freddie tell his employee Bengy to "get the gun - we are going to have to shoot this one" when I refused to leave his property without an itemized receipt rather than have the dispute settled by calling the police, Freddie also commented to my wife later that he had "had a couple of people shot" Our entire visit to FatBoyz was recorded from the time we first got there until my wife was leaving the building so all statements made by Freddie referenced herein can be verified Due to this threat of violence, I will not return to have him again attempt to make repairs to my trikeI doubt he could do them due to his ineptitude and unprofessionalismI would not trust him to work on any equipment I own
