Fraud
This company sold me a car with engine damage

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I have always bought used, so I didn't have an issue with an "As is" no-warrant purchase in generalThis is why Faulkner didn't hear from me about having to replace the fuel pump, all spark plugs, starter, and repair the power steering fluid leak that caused the power steering to fail on the road However, if they had disclosed the rebuilt engine as they should have I wouldn't have purchased the vehicleThat's a big thing not to mentionOf course they would not have been able to sell the vehicle for $had they disclosed the rebuilt engineSo I maintain that they are at fault for mis-representing this vehicle I want satisfaction Regards, [redacted]

Dear ***,I have tried to reach *** *** in regards to his complaint (***) and so far have been unable to do soOn 06/21/mailed him a check to reimburse him for the service he was expecting to have for the duration of his vehicle lease.For at least the last three years those services

I am rejecting this response because:I have always bought used, so I didn't have an issue with an "As is" no-warrant purchase in general. This is why Faulkner didn't hear from me about having to replace the fuel pump, all 16 spark plugs, starter, and repair the power steering fluid leak that caused the power steering to fail on the road.  However, if they had disclosed the rebuilt engine as they should have I wouldn't have purchased the vehicle. That's a big thing not to mention. Of course they would not have been able to sell the vehicle for $14000 had they disclosed the rebuilt engine. So I maintain that they are at fault for mis-representing this vehicle.  I want satisfaction.

December 10th, 2017Dear [redacted],Faulkner Buick GMC would like to provide as much information on the complaint ?led with you on Dec.5th, 2017, ID number [redacted].[redacted] did purchase the 2005 [redacted] on February 5th, 2016 with 128,569 miles on it.Faulkner had sold this vehicle...

“As-Is" due to the high mileage, the customer did sign the buyers guidestating it was in fact "As-Is”. Faulkner Buick GMC would not have knowledge of the rebuilt engine; therebuild was done prior to Faulkner Buick GMC acquiring this vehicle. Had Faulkner performed therebuild, we would then be responsible for disclosing this information to the customer.Faulkner Buick GMC provides education to all customers on the importance of an extended warranty atan additional cost and allows them to make an educated decision as to whether they find it of value.[redacted] did not find the value in a warranty at the time of purchase, l do see where we attemptedto fit a 12 month 14500 mile warranty in her budget and she had still declined to purchase the warranty.l have enclosed the signed ”As~ls" statement and the Motor Vehicle Sales Finance Act stating she has theopportunity to purchase additional coverage if desired.The first week of December 2017, Faulkner Buick GMC did speak with [redacted] and tried to help herwith the anticipated repair bill by doing the repairs at our internal cost, at which time she declined thatas well.Please feel free to contact me at any time should you have any further questions.Sincerely,Michelle B.Finance Director
