When my mother passed in May of 2011 I took over payments on her house. Up through September 2019 everything was going along fine until October 2019 my payments started being return. I received a statement that I was 2,785.00 behind and sent a cashiers check in the full amount to bring account current but it was returned along with a letter stating that my home was in pre-foreclosure or in foreclosure status and anything but the full amount not be accepted. I called again and talked to another individual and he told me all I needed to do was to fill out a request for payoff form which I did. I finally received a payoff amount on 2/18/20 that was good through 3/5/2020. On 2/19/20 I sent another cashiers check this time for the full payoff amount and sent it by certified mail. The check was received on 3/3/20 with the deadline being 3/5/20. Now on April 1st I received that check back. Now its lawsuit time. Nothing but deceitful crooks.
