Damaged all for of the rims on my car
On Dec 14th 2017 I was checking my lug nuts and snapped one of them off. Fazio's being the closest service centre to me I took my car there to see if he could remove the remaining portion of the lug nut. The owner () came out and looked at it and I was told it would be difficult and I would have to sign a waiver because he may damage the one rim. I understood this and was prepared to do so the following Monday. In the mean time I asked if he could remove the rests of the lug nuts and replace them with the old ones. I purchased this car less than three months ago from ***. It is a *** and had 16,000Kms at the time of purchase. The alloy rims on the car are black (one of the reasons I picked this car) They had one rim refinished for me to take care of some minor damage and at the time of purchase the rims were in mint condition. The young man that changed the lug nuts used a socket that was too deep with an air gun. In the process he bottomed out on all the holes removing all the black paint at the base. The wheels now have the appearance of a silver washer behind the nuts not black as they were before.I informed *** of the problem the next day and brought it in to show him. At this time he treated me like an it and said that is what they are supposed to look like. I waxed every inch of this car a month and a half ago and know what they looked like. I also looked at them the day of the service with him and they were black at that point. I have called a trusted place to price out the cost of repairing the rims and have been told it will cost about $560.00 to return them to their former condition. I am taking it in to *** on the 28th to correct the single lug nut issue and will get a letter stating the condition the rims were in when I bought the car. After looking at pictures, on line, of new factory wheels it is very clear that this is not what they are supposed to or did look like before being serviced at Fazio's. Being a new car at not made of money I would like compensation for the damaged caused and for his staff to be instructed on how to deal with painted rims before someone else has to go through this. *** His failure to own up to the mistake made by one of his employee's *** The rim model no. is ***. I was charged $50.00 for the service and paid by debit.
