This customer is partially correct. However here are the corrections. The water bill was extremely high, and after research I found out that it was due to a water main that froze and broke earlier in the month. The Property Manager had already fixed the pipe, but the the
water usage ended up being 9x the usage. We called the water company to arrange for an adjustment and they only offered a small adjustment, so I needed to talk to a supervisor. I did talk to the supervisor the next day, and we worked out the amount and I paid the bill. Unfortunately, it did go into the 2nd day before the water was back on We knew the furnace had a few issues, but seemed to be working. My Property Manager was working with the tenant on the temporary solution while we explored a permanent fix. The furnace finally failed to function. I was notified by my Property Manager the next morning, and I immediately authorized the replacement of both the furnace and the water heater. They were completed the same day The tenant repeatedly mentioned that we "Refused" to pay the bill, or "Refused" to fix the furnace. This is not true. Sometimes, there are parts that will adequately repair an appliance, that must be explored. This is a trial and error thing, so it did take some time. When these methods failed, we replaced the furnace. Yes, there were some issues of the tenant being late on promised payments, but this was not a factor The tenant is now happy with her new furnace and water heater. She is still living in the unit. She was asked to reciend this complaint, but it seems that she hasn't done so. The fact that all of these items happened in the same small stretch of time just added to the tenant frustration. We were already working on a solution when she filed this complaint. She just didn't give us the time needed to complete the work
