In 2015, a cancellation form was sent to the customer, per their request. Three follow up calls and voice mails were left that we had still not received the cancellation form back. In 2016, the collection process started. The customer was not...
happy that we did not cancel them in 2014, however, there is nothing on file that they requested this cancel. Further, they were still within the initial terms of their agreement, so they still would have owed an early termination fee. Based on notes, accounting was able to come to an agreement with the [redacted]'s to handle the termination fee and remove them from collections. This process would have been addressed as early as 2014 if the customer had accepted and/or returned our calls and attempts to complete the process for them.

I have multiple emails documenting the cancellation requests where I had filled out the forms they had sent me, and returned them. If the individuals who received the emails did not go forward with the request, that is an issue within the company, and is not something I should be punished for. I spoke with [redacted] and agreed to pay an amount in order to keep the debt off of our credit report. We are still very unhappy with the company, and will not recommend them to others in the future. This original cancellation process started because of poor customer service. We have not lived at the location of this service for quite some time, so there is no reason I would have wanted to continue the service.
