I chose this company to upgrade service, rewire some existing wiring, and add several circuits. They were in the middle of the cost range for three quotes I received but perceived them knowledgeable about house wiring so I chose them.
The first red flag was when they opted to drill large holes down without ever looking under the house. Reckless behavior. What I perceived as knowledgeable may have actually been arrogance and ego.
Second red flag was cutting off a ground rod and not driving another one. I should have insisted that they drive another ground rod instead of using the one they cut off.
Third red flag was routing of crawlspace wires through plumbing and air conditioning. They chose the most direct path but made any plumbing and AC work much more difficult. I specifically requested the wires be routed away from this but this request was silently denied.
Fourth red flag was when the inspector discovered loose screws in the panel. Thank you inspector! This was the most serious error on part of Jackson Superior Electric Inc.. The person doing the panel work was being rushed by the boss demonstrating the companies lack of concern for quality in workmanship.
The fifth red flag was demanding payment before I was able to verify their work. They used a portable generator to test the system but I was not able to verify this because I was discussing new service wiring with power company. They did not invite my inspection of the system and disconnected the generator before I could verify operation. I should not have paid them until I was able to verify their work was complete. You should not assume they will come back for warranty work. My fault for paying them without checkout but they definitely rushed their exit with purpose.
The sixth and seventh and eighth red flags were miss labeling of main panel. Six breakers were mislabeled in the panel (three swapped). Low quality workmanship.
I called regarding an arc fault breaker repeatedly tripping a few weeks after their work was done but it took several days for them to call back. Unresponsive.
If you hire this company for electrical work be prepared to hire more companies or spend more of your time fixing their mistakes.
