Review: I paid $250 to a resume service up front for federal resume. For which I've yet to receive. this seem to be a one man service and now can not reach him to voice complaints. The work that was promise was not delivered. Im very unhappy. There are several complaints from this companyDesired Settlement: I would like my credit card refunded and this company shut down so no one else will be taken advantage of in this manner

Review: I ordered a federal resume package with lifetime KSA completion. However I needed KSA's for a [redacted] Gov't position not federal. Instead of informing me that that could not be done, they took my money anyway then told me afterwards that they would not be done, and that portion of that money had been forfeited. I went back and forth with an agent from the company who basically said that he is not returning my money even though no service was provided for that portion. I am asking the Revdex.com to investigate and help get the refund of only that portion of the services. All other services were delivered without a problem. The cost that I am looking to be reimbursed is $49.00. Thank you again for all of your help.Desired Settlement: Please have the company refund the $49.00 of the entire $254.00 spent. That is the cost of the portion of services not being used.

Response:

This customer failed to read and understand our written online terms and conditions. We provide KSA services for FEDERAL government jobs only, not [redacted] Gov't jobs. However, for an additional fee, our editors will provide these non-federal related services. The customer was advised of this fact but was upset and demanded a refund because she failed to understand the nature of our services after work commenced on her account and after placing her order online herself. We do not assume liability for this customer's mistake. This individual needs to take responsibility for her own actions and not demand a refund after receiving properly rendered services from our company. To refund her money for her misunderstanding would be punitive to us. Similar to most companies, we print online terms and conditions and inform prospective customers of the nature of our services prior to ordering. Customers accept our terms by using our services. We do not provide KSA services for non-federal positions without an added cost.

As the customer correctly admitted, all other services were provided without a problem because we delivered what she paid for. We are under no obligation to refund a customer after services are performed because the customer did not understand what she purchased. While we value all our customers and strive to provide the best services possible, it is not economically feasible to refund a full or partial purchase simply because a customer alleges ignorance of our terms after services are initiated and/or fully performed. We notify all customers in our terms that once services begin, we have a strict NO REFUND policy. We hope this response adequately explains our position on the matter.

Review: I paid $205 for a [redacted] Resume service through this company. I talked to the company representative over the phone. He assured me that the resume writers were former federal government employees. After discussing my needs and his assurance they could provide what I need I submitted the request via the internet as he advised I needed to do. Unfortunately I did not see how many complaints from other customers were out on the internet before I submitted the request and had the card charged. After reading the complaints, I sent the company an email immediately and told them to cancel my request and that I would like a refund. They never responded and the next day I received an email containing what is supposed to be your resume. What you receive is a document that contains pages of disjointed text that does not even pertain to you or what you are applying for. You cannot make sense of any of the text. This is what all the other customers are saying as well. They take your money and then provide this document that you cannot use, I guess to say they did provide you with the service. It is one of the biggest scams I have ever encountered. When you try to contact the merchant to discuss the issue, they just don't answer the phone or email you back. There has to be some way this company could be shut down. It is a crime that they are robbing people of their money like this. It appears to be a one man show. He has a very good deal going for him. It doesn't appear to be a company at all. He is lying to customers saying that the resumes are being written by former fed gov't employees. And then providing the customers with this fraudulent document.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund to my credit card.

Response:

This customer altered our documents sent to him to make it appear as though our services are deficient. We have the correct documents sent to him. Refunds are not allowed once work has started and has been received by the customer which is the case here. Competitor resume service(s) early on, ordered our services under pretext and then immediately began filing erroneous complaints and false/negative information online which has unfairly influenced others and damaged our online reputation. There is nothing we can do about it. This customer's federal resume was developed in accordance with our online terms. His resume is far from useless. However, once customers see negative information online about a business (true or not), they automatically assume the worst which is what our competitors probably hoped would happen. Again, there is nothing we can do about it. We provide legitimate services and explain them upfront prior to an individual (including this customer) signing up. This customer received the services promised. Therefore, he is not entitled to a refund. Further, if he did not agree to our terms, he should not have used the services.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

The response is completely untrue. The business is saying documents were altered when I never sent any documents in with the complaint? So I'm not sure what they are referring to.

The document received from this business is just pages and pages of disjointed paragraphs that are totally unrelated to the job opening I was applying for.. I have to believe they probably send the same document to every customer. The document makes no sense and I use the term again USELESS. If the business is trying to say that the customers are altering these documents and that is why they look they way they do, that is a total lie. The document comes over to the customer this way. Just pages and pages of senseless text.

I would like a total refund. It is in the best interest of the business to provide it to prevent any further action.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,

How does this customer honestly know whether the federal resume we created is useless? Is he familiar with OPM and federal regulations contained in the USC? We doubt it? His federal resume meets federal guidelines.

How can he honestly state that we send the same information to every customer? **. [redacted] sent us his resume and his personal information from which we created his federal resume.

He works at [redacted],

Review: I am applying for a specific government position. Federal Resumes are different than Civilian Resumes. I sought the help of a federal resume writing service. I submitted my resume, the link to the job description and questions I had. Payment of $299.00 was required up front.

The resume I received back was poorly laid out (e.g., random bullet points where they did not belong, poor spacing, unprofessional and sloppy etc.) Those are problems I can correct. What I was bothered by was the resume writer appeared to cut and paste requirements that met the job description based on the Grade level for a [redacted] without even asking if I had those skills. Some of the skills and activities, the writer wrote that I had, I do not. (I do not want to get an interview based on false pretense). I am aware that the Federal Government likes to see that the candidate meets the KSA and Grade description. But I want to be honest. The resume was not appropriate for me.

Also the writer did not change my current resume -- just added a list of various skills, regardless if I had them or not. The list appears to be a cut and paste from the Federal Government guidelines for the position I am applying. Also I had a list of questions that were not answered.

I asked for a refund. [redacted], the lead editor refused. I take responsibility for buying a service that did not deliver what they promise in terms of the quality they said they have AND the success rate of nearly 100% of people interviewed based on the resumes they "write". It is my error in not investigating the company more thoroughly. I believed their website reviews and claims. I have a copy of the resume I submitted and what I received in return. I would be happy to forward.

This is where the emails with [redacted] got bizarre (have copies I can forward). [redacted], the Lead Editor, is claiming I was trying to get something for nothing (I would not use the resume because it is cobbled together and does not look professional), working with a competitor he refers to as "she" to undermine his business, that they answered all my questions (not true) and more concerning a vague threat per this quote: "We also have reciprocal rights against customers who attempt to disrupt business operations and lodge superfluous complaints because you willfully ignore our terms" . I find this threatening. I do not know who "she" is; my complaints are legitimate as you can see when I forward a copy of the resumeDesired Settlement: Frankly at this point I find being threatened as indicated above because [redacted] does not like my complaint unprofessional and inappropriate. I was stupid to purchase a product without investigating more carefully. Consumers need to be aware of the poor quality but more so of the threats made if unhappy with a service.
