August 8, 2017RE: Case Number *** *** ***In response to the letter(s) received dated July 26, RE: Federal Student Loan CenterUpon researching different options for my student loans I was redirected to this 3rd party company, I spoke to a representative initially who I asked very detailed questions regarding my situation (this phone call was recorded on their side.) I gave all the pertinent infoand provided them access to my previous account to directly look at my situationI was then told that I was approved for the “Loan Forgiveness Program” based on my prior payment history which was recordedI told them I was employed and provided my tax return and current paystubs and told them I had one child which is reflected on my tax returns I providedI was also told that I would be given credit for all my prior payments that I have made and that my monthly payment would be approx$a month with a fee of installments of for their processing feeOn 7/25/I received a letter from the Dept of Education stating that my consolidation was complete; there was no payment information contained within that letter so I proceeded to call themI spoke to a representative there who told me my monthly payment was $because I am unemployed and have childrenI then started wondering what was going on since that information was incorrect and I started asking further questionsI told her that information was not accurate and she said that was what was provided by the Federal Student Loan CenterI then told her I was approved for the loan forgiveness program and she said that was in fact not the case and since I came out the the IBR plan it was like starting all over again and none of my prior payments countedShe then advised me to request the Pay as you earn program that would be best for my situationI then asked her how they could misrepresent and lie about the information I was told and she said it happens all the time that is what they do to gain the saleShe also said that you don’t have to use these companies to consolidate your loans, that the US Deptof Education does it as a free service and they misguide you to think you need to pay a fee for doing itI was devastated to learn all of this and asked her what I need to do; she said that I needed to reapply with a new application with correct income information and the correct dependent sizechild not that was represented to themAfter my conversation with the Deptof Education I promptly called the Federal Student Loan Center at *** on 7/25/and left a message on the voicemail messageThe voicemail also provided an alternate number at *** which I called and left another voicemail directly after calling the first number to ask questions and try to request my money back since I had to start over and do another application myselfI never received a call back from anyone and proceeded to file a complaint with the Revdex.com and request my money back from AMEX since I never received a return phone call to discuss the matter from the Federal Student Loan Center.I have never tried to get a service for free and am an honest upstanding person who is a professional and I deserve to retain my fees I paid for a service that was misrepresented to me and incorrect information submittedI should have never had to my application and spend my precious time doing it when I paid for them to do itThis is all documented by the US Dept of Education in my file that they took notes on retained in my account on 7/25/This information can be verified and I will give authorization to retain my information from the US Dept of Education at ***.If you need other information please contact me,Sincerely,*** ***

We are presently addressing *** ***’s complaint*** *** has over $363,in Federal Student Loan DebtHer income is over $100,annually Under the Federal guidelines she has to pay back a
portion of these loansThe service we offer depends entirely on income and family sizeSeeing that she has a rather large income she did not qualify for a full forgiveness of her loansA full forgiveness means that she would not have to pay any of her outstanding debt back, but since her income is high she did not qualify for the full forgivenessShe did qualify for other programs which drastically reduced her total amount she owesThe PSLF (Public Service Loan Forgiveness) program is set up for people who work for non-profit organizations or public servants, City, State or Federal Government workersMs *** advised us that she worked for Homeland Security which would place her in the PSLF programWe will be issuing a FULL refund to Ms *** *** *** Compliance Officer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Good Morning MrWheeler,I filed a complaint against the Federal Student Loan Center on October 16, 2017, Complaint # ***. This case/complaint is now closed because the owner of Federal Student Loan Service Center, Mr*** ***, stated in his response to the complaint that “We will be issuing a FULL refund to Ms***.” (Please see attachment, marked Exhibit B)As of 10/31/2017, Mr*** did NOT issue me a “FULL refund,” only $and he is holding on the $paid to him.The reason I know this is because I received a letter in the mail from *** ***, Research Department, dated October 26, *** *** was the method of payment that I used for Federal Student Loan Center(Please see copy of the letter included, marked Exhibit A)Based on the letter and my telephone conversation with *** on October 31, 2017, Mr*** *** (Federal Student Loan Center) is holding on the $(out of the total of $690.00) which was paid to him. This means that Mr*** did NOT tell the truth in his response to Revdex.com in order to have the complaint show as “resolved” on the Revdex.com website, as opposed to “unresolved.” Since this complaint filed against him was “resolved” because he did NOT tell the truth and stated that a “FULL refund” would be issued, the case was closedMy question is” Is there a way I can re-open the case with Revdex.com or do I need to file a new case/complaint against Mr*** and Federal Student Loan Center?” Thank you kindly for your attention to this matter. Respectfully,*** ***

To whom it may concern, First of all I do not “Lie”! Ms [redacted] went to her credit card company and did what is called a “chargeback” stating that the charge was not warranted. We have contracts with all of our clients that give us authorization to charge their accounts on the dates that they agreed to. Once a client does a charge back we are not able to issue a refund during this process as per our agreement with the credit card company. Then we have to agree or disagree to the chargeback. As a rule our company will respond to these “chargebacks” and of course try and win the charge back. The reason for this is at the time of the transaction and post the transaction there is a lot of work that goes into these files and with our signed contracts we win most of them. We received a response from one of the chargebacks which was from Ms [redacted] she did not agreeing with the credit card company not to reverse the charge. Once I saw this I informed our employees not to fight this and allow Ms [redacted] to receive her money back! This took place on Monday 10/27/2017. Therefore she will be receiving her “Full Refund” soon, if she hasn’t already received it. I also had customer relations Ms [redacted] reach out to Ms [redacted] on 10/24/17 to inform her of what had taken place. There was no answer so she left her a message with no response form Ms [redacted] other than this new complaint. Ms [redacted] has been un-cooperative though out this whole process going as far as to file 2 separate complaints for the same thing. We did our work that was promised and have also agreed to not take money from her. There is nothing else that we can do for her. Enclosed is the correspondence from our credit card company with us notifying them to credit her back the $230.00. This should conclude all of her money that was received from her for the work that we did on her behalf. Sincerely yours [redacted]                                171/08/201

[redacted] Revdex.com of San Diego, Orange & Imperial Counties RE: ID # [redacted] Email [redacted]   First of all it is UNFORTUNATE that Ms [redacted] has filed this complaint on a company “Federal Student Loan...

Center” that does quality work and completes our files in a timely manner! As the Compliance Officer here at the Federal Student Loan Center, I review all files and find out if we are in Compliance. This file was totally in compliance and has been completed. After reading and reviewing Ms [redacted] case and file I have found that Ms [redacted] has in fact embellished the facts of her situation. 1.      Ms [redacted] signed up with our company on 04/06/2017 and has paid 3 payments of $287.50 not $1,200.00. All monies have been refunded to here since this complaint was made 100% refunded! 2.      Ms [redacted] has not paid 15 years of payments towards her student loans as she stated on her complaint. In fact she has only paid 5 years starting in 2011 towards a 360 month repayment program when she consolidated her loans. All of her payments were going towards interest charged to her by her servicer “American Education Services”. Her original loans totaling $45,000 has now grown to $51,746.00 due to this fact. 3.      Ms [redacted] has failed to mention that during conversations with our processor Ms “Brandi” she was aware that she would be re-consolidating her loans and have a reduced payment and a reduced amount of years to payback the loans. Going from a 300 month repayment program to a 240 month repayment program. You will find a copy of the “Agreement” and all other documents that were signed by Ms [redacted] prior to us taking any funds from her, attached to this email. On these documents it never states that she will have any amounts “Forgiven” nor do we guarantee any results or forgiveness.  Also you will find that we will gladly refund any client if they are not satisfied with the results of our work. We were never contacted by Ms [redacted] asking for a refund at any time! Only after all of our work was completed and her loans were put into a better situation did she want a refund and file a complaint this is clearly a person trying to get something for nothing! I am available anytime for a call or if you need to contact me @ [redacted]   Respectfully Yours,   [redacted]

As a business owner since 1978 ...  starting in Hawaii I have found that you can NEVER please everyone!!! Ms [redacted] is one of those clients that will never be pleased by us no matter what we would have done for her.I believe that if you do the very best you can and stand by your work helping as many people as you can you can please mostWe wish her the best ... and as I stated we finished with her file and stand by our work!Respectfully yours, [redacted]
