I was referred to Dr. [redacted] by my pcm at Tyndall AFB and I visited his office twice. I was scheduled for surgery after my last visit in his office. I was told I needed to get a MRI first at gulf coast imaging and I could just walk in for this procedure. Well I proceeded to do just that and found out the staff at Feitz office never sent the authorization or any paperwork over for me to even have the procedure done. So that was a waste of time and gas. Days of waiting on the staff to do their job I was finally seen. I was scheduled for surgery on 10/2 I hadn't received any calls from the office as far as pre-op so "I" contact them on 9/29 to ask about it because it's normally on 9/30 and I haven't heard anything yet. I was told by Brittney that once again I could just walk in the surgery center for pre-op. I then ask for their hours. She didn't know them. So I asked for the telephone number to contact them myself. Upon contacting the surgery center I was told they knew nothing of me having surgery they had no paperwork on me. So I ask if that was normal. They said no. I contacted Feitz office on 9/30 at 8 am because I was told by the surgery center to contact them. I spoke with Brittney once again. I asked for Melanie/Mindy because that's who the surgery center told me to contact. Brittney stated Melanie/Mindy was running late and was not there. I then asked if I could speak to [redacted] she stated he was running late too. I asked her to have him to call me. I waited an hour and called back at 9am. I spoke with Melanie/Mindy and expressed how disappointed I've been with the staff as far as the MRI and pre-op situations and she put me on hold. [redacted] gets on the phone. He says how he was sorry that his staff had dropped the ball, the girl that normally handles that has been out, she's had 2 abscess in her mouth and it's in her nasal cavity etc etc. He asks if I want to have the surgery. I say yeah I need it done asap. He then says well the number we have for you is not a good working number and we have been trying to get in contact with you. In return I say that's a lie because someone called me yesterday and that's the only time they've ever called me in the past few weeks. I guess that [redacted] him off because after that he said..."well its obvious you're not happy with my service I don't have to deal with this [redacted]". I heard the dial tone after that. So I guess this was a blessing in disguise and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I wouldn't want someone like that operating on me ever. Thank you
