We received communication from the preparer's tax software on 5/4/2017 advising that the software was shutting both of the taxpayer's offices off from services. The software also advised that they were reporting the preparer to the [redacted] for filing fraudulent returns. Our own review of the...

office showed that the offices were charging the maximum amounts allowed on all tax payer returns, there was a dramatic increase in business from previous years, and the return amounts on returning customers were much higher than they had been in previous years. Also, 37 people over both offices had the identical refund amount of $5,093.00 which is usually an indication of manipulating returns.Further review showed numerous complaints from taxpayers on not being aware of the fees they were charged, being told to sign a blank screen instead of the disclosures provided, and not receiving their paperwork. As well as an F rating with the Revdex.com due to refusal to address the complaints being made. [redacted] compliance requires that we cannot complete any transactions with anyone who we believe to be fraudulent.  The preparer also signed an agreement at the time of enrollment to follow all [redacted] and [redacted] regulations and standards. The agreement lays out all responsibilities and requirements, as well as our rights to terminate the relationship with an office who does not meet these standards. (Document Attached)

A card was mailed out to the customer's address that was provided at the time of tax preparation on 2/27/2017. The funds were placed on that card on 3/6/2017 and all of the funds are still available. We have no record of the customer calling in at any point to advise that he did not receive his...

card. The customer did e-mail our taxpayer support once on May 29th, but we cannot verify the account information through e-mail.  The card can easily be replaced but the customer will need to call us at [redacted] verify his address and request a replacement.

We have been working on this issue, but have not yet been able to reach a satisfactory result. Unfortunately, a support email representative must forward the issue to the production department so they can work with the bank in order to locate the funds. The support representative cannot provide...

mailed on 6/10/2016.There had been an error that caused only one of the checks to be mailed at that time.
