The individual filing this compliant signed an installation agreement with our company on June 4, for the installation of four sections of custom order vinyl fence on the edge of a patio The total amount on this contract was $1, A deposit of $ was paid The contract states the anticipated work would be scheduled within 1/to weeks Contract stipulates estimated time to complete project at day Agreement further states delays may occur due to weather which was in fact the case On June 13, the customer changed his order to include additional sections to provide privacy from neighbors he was evidently having issues with Changes in an order naturally changes installation timeframes Although we built these additional sections the customer later cancelled these sections by phone The customer gave only one phone number as his contact number ###-###-#### The number was not answered nor did it have voice mail when we called On two occasions we went to the house during the day to mark the job to insure fence was in the proper location Although there were people inside the home no one would answer the door The customer states he cancelled his order on July 6, with no response (this was a Sunday) On July 7th a Monday his order was delivered to his home for installation When we received notice of this customers complaint from the Revdex.com we picked up our materials and left a check for the full refund of this customers deposit We do not take such compliants lightly I would point out that the agreement has a different timeframe for installation than that stated by the customer The change in his order and weather did push his installation back five days We do answer all calls however when someone gives us a contact number that is not answered this makes it difficult to maintain communications All deposits were immediately returned to customer Customer was not charged for any special order products We hope this clarifies this issue We are enclosing backup documentation, agreements, cancelled checks etcto the Revdex.com to include in this case file Thank you

This issue has been fully resolved by doing all necessary repairs The nature of the fence industry is that different materials yield different results in terms of stability and longevitySteel and aluminum fencing traditionally require no long term adjustments and are in concrete Vinyl fencing typically has limited need for adjustments On the other hand wood fencing is the most prone to adjustments and in need of attention Wood is a natural product and does expand, swell, crack, split and have check marks Also wooden posts are not normally in concrete to prevent rotting and as a consequence gate posts often shift and get out of alignment The standard in the fence industry is that there are no warranties on wood We do provide buyers with the grade of fencing used (i.e#western red cedar)Homeowners will often opt to purchase a wooden fence as it is the most economical and are willing to make the trade off on durability and appearance to save money We do recommend all wooden fences receive a wood preservative upon installation and every two years after We do not for these reasons as is the custom in the fence industry offer a warranty on any wooden fencesIn this particular case we have made all the repairs requested and informed the homeowner to contact us directly should any other issues arise Al K [redacted] Fence One

We hired Fence One to install our residential fence and did this after speaking with several area fence companiesThey were head and shoulders above the others we spoke to in terms of product and knowledgeWe are big on details and in the end we got a great fence at a price that was actually less than a few othersThese are good people (father and son own the company) Actually enjoyed having contractors in our yard that did what they promised!

This issue has been fully corrected to the customer at no charge. Typically damage by high winds is outside our workmanship warranty as is the general policy on most home improvements such as shingles blown off roofs. During the course of correcting this problem for the customer the rest
of the fence was checked and we trust there will be no further issues. We advised the customer to contact us if there are any other issues

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

patio.
The total amount on this contract was $1,361.28   A deposit of $361.28  was paid.
The contract states the anticipated work would be scheduled within  2 1/2 to 3 weeks.
Contract stipulates estimated time to complete project at 1 day.
Agreement further states delays may occur due to weather which was in fact the case.
On June 13, 2014 the customer changed his order to include additional sections to
provide privacy from neighbors he was evidently having issues with.
Changes in an order naturally changes installation timeframes.
Although we built these additional sections the customer later
cancelled these sections by phone.
The customer gave only one phone number as his contact number ###-###-####.
The number was not answered nor did it have voice mail when we called.
On two occasions we went to the house during the day to mark the job to insure fence was in the proper location.
Although there were people inside the home no one would answer the door.
The customer states he cancelled his order on July 6, 2014 with no response (this was a Sunday)
On July 7th a Monday his order was delivered to his home for installation.

When we received notice of this customers  complaint from the Revdex.com we picked up our materials
and left a check for the full refund of this customers deposit.
We do not take such compliants lightly.
I would point out that the agreement has a different timeframe for installation than that stated by the customer.
The change in his order and weather did push his installation back five days.

We do answer all calls however when someone gives us a contact number that is not answered this makes it
difficult to maintain communications.
All deposits were immediately returned to customer.
Customer was not charged for any special order products.
We hope this clarifies this issue.
We are enclosing backup documentation, agreements, cancelled checks etc. to the Revdex.com to include in this case file.
Thank you.

This company gave me a good faith estimate to install a gate at my residence. We called made an appointment for wednesday august 17 th at 1000 am. they never showed. we called and they gave an excuse that they forgot. we made a second appointment for friday august 19th 800 am. again no show. when contacted the company stated that, basically they had issues today and would call us back. when they called they stated they were not coming and asked again what they were doing at my residence, we told him a gate and he called me a liar. I have the estimate (on the company form) in my hand

We hired Fence One to install our residential fence and did this after speaking with several area fence companies.
They were head and shoulders above the others we spoke to in terms of product and knowledge.
We are big on details and in the end we got a great fence at a price that was actually less than a few others.
These are good people (father and son own the company)
Actually enjoyed having contractors in our yard that did what they promised!

Review: I gave a 300 dollar plus down payment for a 2 thousand dollar fence job. The contract stipulated that the job would take no more than four hours, and that delivery and service would be within a week to a week and a half for completion. It has been a month since the contract was signed and conditions agreed to. I called the company on seven different occasions, with concerns of delivery and services. On three different times (via phone), the owner stated that his son would contact me via phone to answer my concerns for installation. No phone calls were returned. I left 4 voice mails requesting immediate action or return calls with no response. This has been going on for almost a month, without resolution. On this date (7/6?14) I requested the cancellation of services via voice mail (message left during work hours), with no response. I no longer want their product, due to the lack of response and delivery date. The company could have resolved this issue with returning my calls and addressing my concerns. They have done none. Clearly, the company doesn't care, nor willing to one, return my deposit, or deliver my purchased product as well as installation. I don't know what else to do. This issue is an easy fix. Simply, the company could/should have called me back and explain such disregard of my concerns.Desired Settlement: I no longer trust this company to do any work on my property. I am requesting a refund of all funds. The owner of Fenceone indicated that a permit was not required. Upon inquiring with the Town of [redacted], they stipulated that a permit for a fence in fact was required. This concerns me greatly.
