Review: [redacted] dba Fences N More and Fencemasters contracted to remove and haul away an existing fence, and rebuild another fence around the front of our property. The fence was built too high, and we are now dealing with a citation from our city. In addition, [redacted] and his employee [redacted], contracted to complete the project to our specifications but did not. On several occasions, [redacted] promised to come to our home to complete the work and after several phone calls and text messages, he and Vance have not responded to our request and refuse to complete the work. A keyed latch was supposed to be installed in the gate, instead [redacted] installed a slider latch. One sprinkler sits outside of the fencing as a result of bad construction, and 2 sprinklers have been broken. [redacted] contracted to grind down the cement that was not removed from the previous posts. The gate is warped, and the boards at the bottom of the gate are uneven. All of these items were pointed out to [redacted] during the walk-through. [redacted] and Vance Hildebrand have been paid in full. In addition, they were erroneously overpaid, via check, $500 of which we notified them immediately. They promised to return the funds but still have not done so. The work is incomplete and [redacted] and his employee, [redacted] have been overpaid. [redacted] is in breach of his contract.Desired Settlement: We would like our $500 overpayment, and, in addition, $200 to cover the amount we must pay another contractor to bring the fence to code and complete the work Vance A. Hildebrand and Ted refused to complete. In total, we request a refund of $700.00.
