Ferrari's Maytag Home Appl Ctr Reviews (3)

Review: A dishwasher was delivered and installed by Ferrari's Maytag on November 2, 2013. When the two men installed the dishwasher, they had many problems and did not seem to be fully trained in doing the job. When installing the water line, one of the men did not do it properly so the other man had to redo it. When I ran my first full wash in the morning I did not see that there was water leaking out of a value that was located under the dishwasher. Later in the day my husband noticed that there was water all under my kitchen floor which damaged the floor so bad that it will haveto be replaced. I called Ferrari's and told them the situation and all they said was it was the manufacture's problem and wanted nothing to do with it. In my opinion if you are going to install an appliance, you should be better trained, and stop making up excuses by putting blame on some one else. It was very poor customer service and I will never deal with them again.Desired Settlement: I would like my kitchen floor replaced for their poor installation job.

I am rejecting this response because:

First, when the dishwasher was installed after many problems in the installation, I did not see the major problems until after I ran my first load of dishes later in the day.

Second, I notified their office 3 days after because a weekend was involved . The notice that she talked about was about a tax that was never included in the original bill and I received that 2 weeks later.

There is a major communication with the staff and the owner because she had not idea how things are being handled in her own company.

Third , I am not going to pay for their technician to come out and pay for something that their installers should have check in the first place when they installed. The dishwasher works wonderfully and the

manufacturer should not be involved. When you come into someones house to install something, they should be properly trained to check of the parts on the dishwasher before installing and stop blaming

the manufacturer. If they checked they would have found all the loose connections and fixed the problem. That is just a poor excuse for not doing the job right in the first place.

I do not know where she had the idea that I was satisfied when I called and made my anger very clear the the personal that I talked to on the phone and that third day.

If this is how this company operates, I hope this is a warning for customers in the future because they may have major damage like me; replace a new floor; which they will have to repair out of pocked.

Sincerely,

Cooktop had one burner failed, it was under [redacted] warranty service, they sent Ferrari tech, he look at the issue and order the right parts, it was on a week day, month later I go the appointment schedule on a week day and found It was not the right parts! I called Ferrari many times and asked for manager and final got the manager and she said that we will schedule another appointment., I told I cannot take another days off and you need to figure out a way to service on weekend or eve. She said know and I asked for the owner and she said she has a appointment.,
After all the drag I am still waiting to hear from the owner of Ferrari and [redacted].,
Who is going pay taking off from my work? Watch out for these kinds of service companies they look at their perspective and not customer even for their mistakes.,

Review: I purchased a dishwasher from Ferrari's in August of 2012. They removed the old dishwasher and installed the new one. It was improperly bolted to my countertop. It recently flooded my kitchen floor. When I opened the dishwasher and pulled out the bottom rack the entire dishwasher started to fall forward. I found 1 screw in the bottom. When the service man came he could not find the second screw that should have bolted it to the countertops. It was improperly installed initially and I was billed $74.45to re bold it to my countertops. There was no defect to the dishwasher and it only flooded due to the fact that it wasn't properly installed initially.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded since they didn't properly install it the firt time.

Response:

When a customer complaint such as this comes into our store our first step is to send the service manager out to assess the situation as he has over 15 years experience with this company. Upon assessment, technician determined that screws that secured the dishwasher unit to the granite countertop had fallen out. The holes in the granite counter top had rounded out causing the screws to back out. Our installers do not drill new holes into granite counter tops while installing a unit as there is a great risk of cracking the granite if not done with great care, a counter specialist is usually required. It is common to see these types of holes from when a counter top is installed. When installing a dishwasher our installers are trained to secure the dishwasher with screws into predrilled holes. At the time of service the technician did assess for any type of water leak in which there was no water leak observed at this time which means the cause of the leak the customer reported could not be confirmed. All installs are warrantied for 90 days, with this dishwasher being installed over 2 years ago and no evidence of an improper installation, the customer was charged a $70 service call fee (+ tax) but was not charged any additional labor charges as a courtesy for being a loyal customer(a normal charge would have been the service call fee + $35 labor per 30 minutes of service + tax).

I am rejecting this response because:I had an old dishwasher under these granite countertops for 6 years that never lost their screws. I replaced it because the motor died. I did not need new holes drilled into the counters. The screws were just put into the same old holes without any dowels or lockticht which caused them to back out of the holes. I told the service manager that the leak was probably caused but the door not closing properly, not a mechanical problem with the dishwasher, which he agreed with me. There are 2 gouges on the door top from the metal plates after the screws fell out. I originally paid $150.00 for this installation and was told by 2 independent contractor friends that dowels or locktight should have originally been installed to keep these screws from backing out, which wasn't done. The service manager did replace the screws and put some type of glue on to keep them in place. I did inform Ferrari's that I had granite countertops when I was shopping for the dishwasher and they told me it was not an issue. It cost me the original $150.00 installation plus the additional $70.45 for them to correct a problem they did not do right in the first place
