Fesco Fence Reviews (3)

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: The latch has not been fixed - Fesco did come out on the [redacted] but the handle is hanging on to the door by two loose screws and the lock still doesn't work. Its worse than before and looks terrible. I really can't understand why this can't be replaced/fixed after 3 months. In regards to not bring notified about the issue, nothing can be further from the truth. I have emailed on the following dates with followup emails from Fesco noted:4/**, 4/ [redacted] (fesco email response), 5/ [redacted] (fesco email response), 5/ [redacted] (fesco email response), 5/**, 5/**, 5/**, 6/ [redacted] (fesco email response), 6/ [redacted] (fesco email response) and finally 6/**. I think I've been extremely patient about this whole issue. In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above. Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Review: 1. Reinforcing screws were placed on interior of fence instead of exterior where they would not be visible.

2. Fence was installed this Spring and we have had issues with the quality.

-Required repair within 24 hours after installation, due to broken/cracked rail.

-Additional damage is visible to one of the panels

Initial repair was completed, however I was charged and now I called the office for second repair, left a message and have not heard back

3. Lock on gate does not work properly, cylinder comes out.

4. Street was left very soiled with cement that cannot be removedDesired Settlement: Desired Settlement: Replacement

Response:

reinforcing screws were placed in the interior of the fence so the finished side faces outward and looks good from street level. [redacted] was there during the installation and was consulted with at this stage. He even approved us putting the screws on the outside along one line of fence because there are large rocks on the inside of the fence preventing us from screwing from the inside.

Review: Fesco installed a fence around my pool in October of 2010. The fence came with a lifetime warranty. When the fence was installed, it was bolted to an existing fence that runs across the rear of the property line. The bolt was put in place by fesco into the fence that they installed. That bolt has fallen off and now there is a whole in the fence surrounding the pool area that can cause damage to the yard (as animals can now get through the fenced off area) and is dangerous as children can climb through the hole in the fence, which will leave them in the pool area.Desired Settlement: Fesco should come out and fulfill their obligations under the lifetime warranty and repair the issue.

Response:

sorry for the delay but we haven't been able to connect with the [redacted] with their vacations, ours, the kids back to school and lately the jewish

holidays.

I went to the [redacted] residence 9-**-13 and met Mr and Mrs [redacted]. Their concern is not with our fence which is still as straight and plumb as the day we installed 3 years ago. The problem is that we connected an end post of the existing chain link fence done by another contractor to our end post using a lag screw and tension band to secure the loose chain link post. This chain link fence runs along a stone retaining wall adjacent to their pool. In the past 3 years the retaining wall has settled and continues to lean outward to the point it is significantly out of plumb and in need of repair. The result is the wall has pushed the chain link posts out of plumb and the pressure pulled the lag screw out of our fence post. The chain link end post is now 2” away from its original position when we attached it 3 years ago to our end post, which is still plumb.

I advised them the wall needs to be repaired to prevent further leaning out of plumb, then the chain link fence posts need to be reset plumb and level to rectify this situation. They wanted me to reattach the chain link post to our fence in spite of my warning them this will not solve the problem of the wall leaning and moving at a rate of 2” over the past 3 years. I ultimately reattached the chain link post after bending it plumb at ground level so it lines up with our post. I then warned them this is a quick fix and may last only a week or maybe a year or 2 but ultimately the wall must be fixed.

I hope this resolves this issue. please contact me to inform me of the next step we need to take to clear our good name

thanks
