Following is our letter to this company canceling our contract:
Dear Festiva Development Group, Inc
Please RESCIND THE TRANSACTION sold to us on Saturday, May 14, 2016, after being misinformed about the benefits of this packageWe have since registered our account online and looked into taking advantage of some of those benefits and found their promises to be false
PLEASE CANCEL THIS PACKAGE AND PROMPTLY REFUND the payment we authorized on our credit card to pay the total price of this package in full at the time of purchaseWe are submitting this written statement and all materials delivered to us at our initial enrollment and postmarked via first class mail within three business days after the date of this agreement as you outlined in the purchaser's right to cancel
Specifically, the promises for which we purchased this package include:
Spending $to purchase $*** gift cardsWe were told these could be used DIFFERENTLY than typical *** certificates with which one must spend a specific amount in addition to the amount received (example: to redeem $you must spend an additional $at the restaurant)We were assured this worked differently (since we would buy the gift cards from the *** site), that we could use the whole amount of the gift card without having to spend anything in addition, AND that we could purchase gift cards from the thousands of chain restaurants pictured in a presentation folderThese gift cards could NOT be purchased at $increments for $Neither could we purchase them using a *** gift cardThe only gift cards that could be purchased would be from partners such as *** and a couple of others online, which had requirements for even larger additional amounts of money to spend in order to redeem those gift cardsThe purchase amount for the $*** gift cards has also changed to $12, so the information presented was outdatedThis promise was our PRIMARY reason for purchasing this package, since we would already be spending $1,on dinners out and gifts for others this yearUnfortunately, in order to actually redeem the $amounts we would have to spend an additional $for each oneSo this is NOT the deal we thought it was, which would have actually made it worth our money to try the sampler while we considered utilizing the vacation portion
When we attempted to actually book a weekly reservation at one of the *** locations listed, we found very little availability! We could not find ANY availability for ANY dates at the ***, the property we were shown and promised we could come back and visit for a week at the price of $to $for the entire weekIn fact, we could not find availability for ANY dates at ANY price less than $for an entire weeks at a Festiva Adventure club locationMost were over $for a weekWe were promised we could stay on ANY Festiva Adventure Club property for a week at prices ranging between $to $and that we could stay at non-Festiva Adventure Club properties for no more than $for an entire weekThis was absolutely information When we searched for realistic dates we might travel to Branson, weekly prices for non-Festiva Adventure Club properties were over $550! When we searched for a location we might actually want to stay in California the weekly price was $and there were only a couple of winter dates available, so we would not even be able to travel to California with this packageWe are sorely disappointed in the availability and prices of travel
Our sales representative also told us twice that 10,rewards points was equivalent to $2,We found that it costs about 10,rewards points to purchase a $e-gift card, so this information was also FALSE
After having attended multiple timeshare presentations with different companies, we had hoped that yours was different, as those representing your company had promised; however, we found that the integrity boasted about in these presentations was FALSEThe information presented to us was very misleadingAs a result, we are unable to do business with you at this timePlease rescind our transaction and cancel our contract
Thank you!

Similar to other reviews, Festiva and *** should be SHUT DOWN! The two are affiliated as *** drives business to Festiva It is all a bait-and-switch concept with marketing!!!!! Through *** we were promised certain accommodations in Branson, MO and when we showed up to Festiva, they said the hotel we agreed to was sold out In fact, all the good hotels we could have originally picked from were "sold out" When we looked at the email confirmation, it just so happens they don't put down the exact name of the hotel...just confirming the three nights What a coincidence!!! We also requested a King bed because of my pregnant wife and of course, we were given a queen at the *** which is basically a star hotel at best...we were promised at least a 3-star at the time of booking Worst lodging experience ever Showed up and there was hair on the bathroom floors, light bulbs missing, no bath towels and a room barely big enough to fit the queen bed More frustrating, Festiva did nothing about and said they could give us a ticket to a show They were incredibly rude and basically said tough luck, nothing we can do about it We were reimbursed any money after getting put in a cheaper hotel or anything In my opinion, these marketing companies and scams should all be shut down!
