This addition project was sold with the understanding (based on information front the customer) that their basement foundation was completed and we could build the foundation on top of itWhen we applied for the building permit from the City of South Milwaukee, we learned there was no record of the basement ever being permitted or inspected, and so it was not being allowed and we were instructed the entire basement would have to be replacedFurther, the size of the foundation did not conform to currently existing zoning laws in the city. The process of appealing this decision through the city was a months-long process involving new structural engineering calculations, revisions to the plan by the architect, appearance in front of the appeals board and numerous meetings and conversations with the city's staffThe customer was made aware of all of this and involved throughout, with the understanding we could not legally start the project until all of this was completed.Once we did make it through that, the customer also changed her mind on the layout of the project, which required additional site visits and revisions to the architectural plansAgain, customer was informed of the delays this caused as each time it required us to engage the architect to his plansIt took until early August when we finally had everything completed and ready to begin the project, and I met with the customer at that time with the expectation we would begin the following week. The sub-contractor who was scheduled to begin the project went to the job-site to put together his materials and equipment list and then advised there were additional safety measures that would need to be taken due to the height of the structure, which necessitated bringing in additional equipmentDue to this delay, the customer left me a voicemail stating they wished to cancel the project, at which point we tried multiple times to contact them to discuss further and have been unable to get a returned callTrips to the customer's house have not resulted in contact eitherVia voicemail we have stated we are willing to work with them to get the job completed or arrange a refund and cancel the project, but need to hear back from them

We did have a delay in this project due to personnel issues with our production manager, who said he had processed this request, leaving our company without having handled itWe have touched base with the customer, ordered the window as agreed, and will get it installed along with the necessary repair work as soon as the window arrives

Again, customer was informed of the delays this caused as each time it required us to engage the architect to re-do his plans. It took until early August when we finally had everything completed and ready to begin the project, and I met with the customer at that time with the expectation we would begin the following week. The sub-contractor who was scheduled to begin the project went to the job-site to put together his materials and equipment list and then advised there were additional safety measures that would need to be taken due to the height of the structure, which necessitated bringing in additional equipment. Trips to the customer's house have not resulted in contact either. Via voicemail we have stated we are willing to work with them to get the job completed or arrange a refund and cancel the project, but need to hear back from them.
