Feth Construction Reviews (9)

The original proposal was to be performed on a time and materials basis and they realize this and there was EXTRA work outside of the proposed work that was requested to be performed as in wrapping there deck boards etcthis is why there was extra charges and they understand and realize this as well ....A check has been written and mailed to them for the $1,which is what he gave a down payment for We did not do the work because he verbally said that we were adding crown molding etc all around the room and this was not the case According to the contract we were putting tong and groove ceiling and wrapping ONE sky lightHis wife even tried to explain that this was what we were doing and he insisted no that wasn't right Thus the whole job could not be done with his senario of the crown molding around the whole room This is why we did not do the job All other work was completed as it stated it would be

well ....A check has been written and mailed to them for the $1,830.00 which is what he gave a down payment for.  We did not do the work because he verbally said that we were adding crown molding etc all around the room and this was not the case.  According to the contract we were putting tong and groove ceiling and wrapping ONE sky light. His wife even tried to explain that this was what we were doing and he insisted no that wasn't right.  Thus the whole job could not be done with his senario of the crown molding around the whole room.  This is why we did not do the job.  All other work was completed as it stated it would be.

I thank Feth Construction for replying, yet there are a few details still not addressed. The bid/contract was done October 9, 2015, and accepted (but never signed by me). When after several weeks passed and I heard nothing to schedule the work, I contacted them. It was then that I learned [redacted]...

[redacted] had suffered a heart attack. Understandably, I knew that would delay starting the job and it was completed on 12/05/2015. I am not sure why removal of the forms was delayed when his heart attack happened before the job had even begun. The work done is not complete as specified. The bid/contact reads "Work will be performed in a workman like manner, according to standard practices". The work done is below standard practices. The pad texture is comparable to stucco; by no means does it have a broom finish. Shoes have to be worn, to ensure the bottom of your feet do not receive cuts or bruising. Also, back filling after form removal is most certainly a "standard practice". That being said, the forms were and still have not been completely removed. There are two bracing wood stakes remaining in the ground. I was to be contacted when removal was done, that did not happen. In fact, they were removed by trespassing on my property in secrecy and endangered the welfare of my two dogs. In addition, I wouldn't think that "standard practice" is to leave and/or not clean up concrete that was and is still splattered on the screen door leading on to the patio. Multiple calls have been made to get a copy of the "signed" contract Mrs. [redacted] says she has, but I have yet to see it. Mr. [redacted] has not called or arranged to finish and clean up the job. Feth Construction has within their power to make this right and to prove they live by what is stated at the top of the bid/contract "Business built on integrity and quality workmanship...".
