FHA Mortgages / New Eclipse Enterprises Inc.

Review: Seeking information about the various FHA loans, I went to FHA mortgage.org specifically because the .org indicated it was a non-profit organization and therefore would keep me from commercial involvement. In the process of registering for a consultation, I was directed to obtain my updated credit scores using a link on the "Step 1" application page. Since I know my credit score I just entered my score and clicked "finish" and was presented with a full page advertisement for Lexington Law to help improve my score (which doesn't need improvement). No other links or information was available for me to continue with my intended purpose of getting FHA information. Thinking that by not utilizing the credit score mechanism they provided I had somehow messed up my application, I went back and went through the link provided as it guaranteed it was a no cost step. At the end of that however, I found I received no confirmation that I had completed the process to avail me of FHA mortgage counseling services. Instead, I was connected to a for-profit credit report and security business website that required $1.00 for me to obtain my "free" FHA mortgage.org credit report. I paid for the credit report, only to discover that not only was there absolutely nothing more from FHA mortgages.org related to my initial purpose but I had somehow become a member of a credit security service (Secure Sense) and would be subject to an automatic monthly fee. The final confirmation of my suspicion that this was a marketing scam, was that this morning I received a call at 9:30 a.m. from a mortgage lending company.

Shortly after the mortgage sales call, I called Secure Sense and after MUCH sales pressure, was able to dis-enroll from their services. However, my biggest concern is that Secure Sense assured me that my information was not shared with anyone yet I had already been solicited. Since the only time I gave my personal information was during FHAmortgage.org's "Step 1," which enrolled me directly in a membership for Secure Sense, FHAmortgage.org itself has to be giving my information out to others.

FHAmortgage.org only provides its mailing address in the "contact us" section-no phone or email contact is listed..

I am a savvy internet user and this is the most deceptive marketing scheme I have ever encountered. I have already filed a complaint with the FCC.Desired Settlement: 1. FHAmortgage.org needs to make it clear that it is a 501C3, MARKETING entity, supported by commercial industries, on its website.

2. FHAmortgage.org needs to explicitly and clearly state that any information entered is shared with commercial entities for sales/marketing purposes.

3. Remove my information fully and completely from anyone it's been shared with.

4. FHAmortgage.orgshould provide email and phone contact information on the website.

5. Ideally, FHAmortgage.org should be dis-allowed from having non-profit status.
