This is in response to Ms. [redacted] , Dated 11/7/2015 Complaint # [redacted] As stated Ms. [redacted] came into FIAT of Tacoma during our vehicle purchase program with her flyer that had indicated that she has won a promotional offer of a shopping gift card. We do not ever say it is promoted... by VISA or MasterCard or that can be used anywhere but clearly a shopping gift card that can be used on a specific website as properly documented on the flyer and verbally discussed by our staff. Ms. [redacted] can shop and purchase on this website up to her gift card amount . The details also include she will have to pay shipping & handling for the items purchased with her gift card. Surely we have not in any way been fraudulent with Ms. [redacted] but clearly gave her all the information to make a sound choice to utilize the promotion or not. We certainly do not wish any miscommunication with Ms. [redacted] and we are truly sorry that she is upset.Sincerely, Steve C [redacted] General Manager FIAT of Tacoma

We want to acknowledge the complaint and disappointment that the second key was not made available when Mr*** purchased his pre-owned vehicle at FIAT of Tacoma It is
unfortunate that this vehicle was only provided to us with one key at the time it became a pre-owned vehicle and the vehicle was sold with no second key promised or implied
We certainly did not wish any miscommunication with Mr*** during his visit when purchasing his vehicle at our dealership and will gladly provide him with a second key at no chargeMr***
may contact me directly at *** and I will make the necessary arrangements to have the key cut and programmed to his vehicle

This law firm represents Universal Auto Group IV, Inc("FIAT of Tacoma"), which hasasked me to respond to the complaint of *** ***.On October 13, 2016, FIAT of Tacoma sold a new FIAT 500L to *** ***and *** ***, subject to financing.A day or two later they contacted
our client claiming there were scratches on the vehiclewhen they purchased itThey were told to bring the vehicle into the dealership for examination, and the scratches would either be repaired or the vehicle would be substituted for a like vehiclewith no scratches. In the meantime, FIAT of Tacoma applied for financing on their behalf, as theyrequestedCapital One Auto Finance approved financing for them with stipulationsThesestipulations had to all be fulfilled before the loan approval would be finalThese stipulationsrequired Ms*** and Mr*** to provide Capital One with copies of severaldocuments showing their residency, source of income, etcUnfortunately, Ms*** and Mr.*** either were unable or unwilling to provide all of the documentation required byCapital One.When Ms*** and Mr*** made it clear they had no intention of providingproof of Mr***'s residency, as required by Capital One, and Ms*** provided atyped document purporting to show her income rather than providing pay stubs, etc., as requiredby Capital One, the dealership notified them by phone, as required by the Washington Bushing
Act, that the contract was null and void and they were to immediately return the vehicle to thedealership, and their down payment would be immediately refunded.Unfortunately, Ms*** and Mr*** initially refused to return the vehicle, sothey were contacted several additional times by phone, again telling them the contract had beenvoided and they were to immediately return the vehicle and receive the refund for their downpayment. Finally, over a week later they returned the vehicle and received a full refund of $7,000for their down payment.FIAT of Tacoma strives for each and every one of its customers to be satisfied with theircar buying experience and to receive full value for their purchaseUnfortunately, in this case theWashington Bushing Act required our client to void the contract when Ms*** and Mr.*** were either unable or unwilling to comply with the financing stipulations.Thank you for giving us an opportunity to explain the position of FIAT of Tacoma in thismatter

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: If this wasn't serious, their legal department would not get involved. After filing claims with local Government agencies, we felt the right to speak the truth. Right now our credit scores have been tarnished because of the hard inquiries which Fiat of Tacoma has created. It started with the bait and switches which the sales rep John V[redacted] committed. The car we initially were looking for was available through Fiat USA, but the sales rep never extended the courtesy to look into their manufacturer inventory, and instead lied to us and told us that he "specially" ordered a vehicle for us, and that it came with the "premium" navigation and sound system. During the process of the sale, my fiance, Mr. [redacted] specified that he does not reside full-time in Washington, and that he resides in Los Angeles 14 days of the month. He travels back and forth to work. The sales rep John V[redacted] and his internet manager Dave L., swindled us and told us to put only one address so that we could be approved easier. And because they told us to put fraudulent information on our contract, it became an inconvenience to Mr. [redacted]. The sales team told Mr. [redacted] he should call his mobile provider and switch the address to get a verifiable utility bill, which again, it is illegal, and he does not reside here in Washington State. Even though the new insurance, the bill took a few days to arrive, which was beyond the "Bushing Law".. When we first approached Fiat of Tacoma, we mentioned that we'd be willing to put down $8,000-10,000 for a brand new vehicle, custom made. Again the sales rep did not afford us the opportunity to invest long-term on the vehicle of our choice and put us down based on our credit score. Moving forward, the stipulations were all verifiable through our employers at the time, but the dealership on the day of signing never mentioned our stipulations were incomplete. The Finance Director, Gary S., told us that I was cleared based on my employers admins signature on my "offer letter", given I was new to the company. Please keep in mind, I was a previous three year employee of the US Government, and currently a mandated reporter, and I have no reason to lie. Gary S. mentioned that Mr. [redacted]'s pay stub was not "visible", when it clearly was, and he also needed a "utility bill" with his name on it.... My fiance, Mr. [redacted], told Gary S. that he will take a clearer picture and send it to him directly and send a utility bill when he receives it, he did advise it might take several business days. Keep in mind, we are new to WA State, and aren't aware of the bushing laws, and the finance director never made that aware to us. October 15th, Gary S. texted Mr. [redacted] and requested the stipulations. Mr. [redacted] called Gary S. and spoke to him regarding the pay stub and utility bill. Mr. [redacted] did specify to Gary S. that it will take no later than 4 business days to receive the utility bill. Gary S. said that was fine. Mr. [redacted] hung up and sent Gary S. a clearer picture of his pay stub. When we purchased the car October 13th, the collateral of the loan (our vehicle), was damaged, and we never afforded the opportunity to see our car that same day... We only saw the car after we paid $7000 and signed the contract. So, over that weekend, the heavy rain stopped, and we found those damages, and it has become the biggest inconvenience to us. After X amount of days, we gave the car back, and received our money, after all the harassing conversations with the General Manager Steve Crosetti, and threats, and refusal of service to my fiance because he is Middle-Eastern, we feel the need to push this forward in Pro Per and fight for my and my fiance's rights. Our credit has been tarnished, and we would like to make this noticed to the public that Fiat of Tacoma is the worst dealership you can do business with, and that we should prevent this from happening to future consumers. WA State DOL should pull or fine them for dishonest sales practices and treating consumers like trash. [redacted]
