I have just dealt with the Fidelity Investment Company regarding a pension payment. They made a mistake sending the payment to the wrong account and I have been waiting for 5 days for them to get the money to the correct account. All they tell me when I call and ask is that they are working on it. That they have to wait for the money to be returned to them before they can issue the money to me again. I think that when a business makes a mistake they should be accountable for that mistake and make it right with the customer. The customer should not be placed in a situation where they are depending on their payment and having to allow their bills to go unpaid and have to be charged late fees when they make their payments because of the company error. I have talked to a different person each and every time I have called the company to discuss my problem. I have even waited for 3 weeks for a return phone call from an employee to return my call. To me, this is very poor conduct on behalf of a business.

Review: I have repeatedly called fidelity about a transfer from my account and received untrue information from multiple customer service representatives. Twice today I received from the reps information that my funds were transferred and that my bank has sent them a electronic receipt saying that the bank has the funds. After calling the bank I found out that the bank has not received the funds but only a verification note to verify who I am. 2 different reps told me that same lie. Then after I demand a [redacted] and he gets on the phone he refutes their story and says no we don't have a receipt from my bank. All I kept getting from the [redacted] is a changing story as we spoke and the statement that I can't be responsible for what my reps said I can only coach them later on this. This is not an acceptable practice to misinform me about the status of my transfer. Why I just had to go through a 7 day waiting period for them to verify my account preceding this is beyond me if now I am forced to wait another 3 days for this to happen again. If I had been properly informed from the start then I would have chosen a different avenue for receiving my funds and would not be going through this now. In a financial institution I expect honesty and clarity in my dealings with them. Why they would blatantly lie and then attempt to double talk to cover it up is way beyond my understanding but it is a very unacceptable business practice.Desired Settlement: I desire no settlement only that they are prevented from ever doing this to another person again in their dealings. They should be reprimanded and have a permanent black mark on their record for their deceitful trade practices.
