Review: I purchased a fido fence on December [redacted] of 2014. My children received a puppy for christmas that year. I have had nothing but issue w/ fido fence & the equipment since my purchase. At first when it was installed the installer did not run the wires completely in the ground. In many areas the installer ran them in the air through the arms of my leland cypress trees. He did not flag my property & when I called to complain & say that the property was not flagged as I was told it would be they replied " you can do it yourself, you can purchase flags at home depot & walk the property w/ the collar". when I said, that was unacceptable & fought w/ them about coming back they finally conceded after much aggravation. When I called & complained about the wires not being buried & in the air/arms of my leland trees they acted as if I was lying & made me fight w/ them to come back & properly burry them. They then said it must be because the ground was so frozen at the time of install but never was this brought up as a problem when they agreed to a December install, nor did they make me aware after they had done it in this manner. In the front of my house the wire was exposed & run across the foot of my steps leading up my walk. It was a tripping hazard to say the least & my husband had to fix it as it could not be left like that for liability reasons. Upon purchasing our system we told the sales agent the type of large hunting dog we were getting. he was familiar with the breed & gave us a collar that was insufficient in strength to keep the dog in the yard. Our brand new puppy got out on 3 separate occasions & luckily neighbors from streets over got him & brought him back. I can't imagine telling our kids there dog had been hit by a car and luckily it never came to that. When we attempted to speak with fido fence about this they came to the house increased the voltage on the collar but it still wasn't strong enough. they told us there wasnothing else that could be done & then we said we wanted our money...Desired Settlement: back. All of a sudden they had a more expensive collar that could handle our dog that they brought over but had held off giving us because of expense I imagine. the installer laid all the wires in the edge of my flower beds so now everytime my gardeners come and edge they brake the lines in multiple places & the fence doesn't work. The company wants me to pay $75 for a house call & $20 for every broken line they fix. It seems to me this is an underhanded way to coninutously make money.
