Field & Reviews (%countItem)

Did not finish the job and did not communicate or answer texts when asked to reply.

We hired Field and Co. with the understanding that our purchase included a general contractor to oversee the project to its polished and professional completion. A two week projected job turned into a two month incomplete job. The quality of work was extremely unprofessional, damage occurred to the property, work was far from code, and the GC was negligent and uncommunicative. His workers complained of not getting paid. Daily stories and excuses were made up in attempts to cover their negligence. This was the work of a con artist who is stringing us along and won’t return our money. Our new contractor has confirmed our severe concern for the work done by Field and Co. and described it as criminal. All work they did originally had to be taken out and redone. If you need more details and evidence I am happy to supply.

I worked on this project myself. Half way through the project they decided they were not happy. We are currently working with them to come to terms with them. We are working on an agreement to come up with a refund.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

We have given Jayson numerous chances over the last 2 months to make this right and again, he is not taking responsibility and unwilling to meet deadlines to resolve. We will proceed with our complaint.

Sincerely

We emailed the consumer two days ago and offered them a settlement for the full amount that they were requesting and they declined.

That is this Friday. I have discussed AKB will not be able to get the replacement pieces until the end of this month and we are working with that. However, the remaining aspects of this job are still to be completed by 2/14. That includes the following:-completion of the fridge water turn off valve (has been left unattended for a day while no one was here for a full day of work today)-all cabinets set with the exception of the replacement pieces for AKB-countertop set-backsplash tile fixed (these areas are very obvious and have been brought up numerous times)-cabinets in clean and working function with hardware installed-dead space cleaned out from mess Paul left (he hasn't been on this job for weeks and a mess has still been left despite me bringing it up numerous times)-all drywall taped, mud and ready for paint, including behind the dishwasher and stove-all trim and quarter round reinstalled-bead board replaced in damaged areas-fridge installed-electrical and outlets in place, covered and properly functioning-kitchen and work areas cleaned-wooden windowsill repairedThese and all items that are included in our contract to be professionally completed (meaning there is to be excellent skill and craft that we intentionally paid you lots of money for) are to be completed by 2.14.20 with the exception of the AKB replacement items. Once those items are shipped to AKB, we'll expect a Field and Co. team member to properly install those items. There is absolutely no need for that to hold this job up.If these items are not complete by this Friday, I want 50% of our progress payment returned or you will be hearing from our attorney. We have been in contact with law enforcement and we have a complete record of this project's negligence.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:
The amount offered was not even half of what was requested through the Revdex.com in the amount of $8250.31. This was the amount that I, ***, the sole name on the business contract, requested. The terms of the agreement offered, if we were to accept the embarrassingly low amount of $3500, were beyond reasonable as we do not wish to have this dragged out any further and cannot trust *** to make his payments. It was clear he was not even able to pay his own employees with the money we paid him in the first place. We will be taking the next necessary action to rightfully request a full refund.

Sincerely

I wanted to follow up with you on the *** situation that has unfolded. I want to start off by saying we respect and appreciate the Revdex.com and we have maintained our communication throughout this process. The *** received an offer for their requested settlement amount of $3500, this offer was declined by them and it seems now they have chosen the Revdex.com as an outlet against Field&Co. I am not quite sure how the Revdex.com rates success vs. failure or how the customers interaction with the company is graded - I can say that since we have engaged with this customer it has been a difficult experience for myself, co-workers, and our service providers. To Date: We have replaced the cabinets in question at no cost to the customer (see image that was sent recently), the customer has not to date paid the materials cost, the customer is withholding the final installment, and the customer is grossly underestimated the cost of the project in terms of time onsite, project management, and logistics. Our team on multiple documented occasions have bent over backwards to assist the *** family in terms of the *** design, countertop issues, the flaws of their 3rd party designer who did not calculate or plan for any plumbing and electrical (which we designed and did not really charge for) flooring (3 separate trips which they ultimately wasted companies time, misled project managers, and laid the floors in-correct themselves) and logistical issues. We have over 200 documents and pictures that fully validate our position with regards to the kitchen remodel, our communication, and most importantly our willingness to make sure an agreement was met after we were terminated. They declined our offer and we will no longer show willingness to work with them as the hours spent on this FAR exceed the contracted amount we received. To be clear - this settlement offer was VERY generous and due to our reputation we wanted an amicable separation. All we asked for $3500 is for the customer to validate that we settled mutually to the Revdex.com and other advertising and customer groups. I encourage the case manager to review the documents they recently submitted - some of these documents are pre construction - we have attached the up-to-date imagery for you to review. I believe they have a goal of misleading you, as they on multiple occasions misled our team. If you have any questions please let me know - I hope this partial file serves as a glimpse into the difficulties we have encountered with regards to this matter. Our goal at Field&Co. is to provide excellent quality and customer service, and in this case we tried every avenue to accomplish both. Please see attached and feel free to reach us *** if you have any questions. Respectfully, --
