Fields Roofing Reviews (%countItem)

Just finished my roof and did a wonderful job. Showed up on time, on budget and answered all of questions. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

Requested a roofing job to be on my home with *** had me file and pay for contract docs but did no work, avoids calls, lead me on for months.
Requested Fields Roofing to do a job for me, they played me for months stringing me along and no work ever done. I got contracts and documents drawn up that I had to pay for with the County Commissioners Office and the contractor *** took those documents and avoided calls thereafter. Tried to call front office but all they would do was to refer me back to *** the roofer. Then he would continue for several weeks after that to make promises and string me along. I still have a lightning strike hole in my roof as the roofers here are terrible and wont take jobs unless its a whole roof they are reparing. I cannot find anyone to fix my room. My search has gone on for about a year now and I still cannot find a roofer to help me so I called the insurance to see if they would do the whole roof since I cannot get anyone to help me with this hole and they said "yes they would" but I needed new estimates from a local contractor. Fields Roofing and most specifically *** was my last resort but as I said he played me and strung me along for months...now I am turning to you for help.

Desired Outcome

I need a roofer to fix a 6x6 lightning strike hole in my roof. No company will help me in my area. Have tried them all.

I received a request for a re-roof estimate the first week of May 2019 from Mr.. May 10th, I sent him our proposal & relevant information via email. May 13th the proposal was accepted by Mr. and returned to me signed. At that time, my office requested a roof permit from the county and he was sent and asked to sign and file a Notice of Commencement with the county, which has to be signed in front of a notary by the home owner. At this time, he made me aware this was going to be an insurance claim. May 20th, he sent me his insurance contact info, which I reached out and spoke to *** of Universal Insurance. Mr. explained that the claim had actually been filed "some time ago" and his adjuster had already inspected the property (which much later I learn the claim for a re-roof was denied). The only option offered, was the "insured party" could dispute the findings and request a re inspection. June 3rd, I explained this to Mr., which his response was he needed his insurance to "get the job done". I received an email from Mr. checking on the status of the claim June 27th, which I responded to on June 28th, explaining I could not move forward until he worked it out with his insurance adjuster. At this point I apologized to Mr. for having my hands tied and believe he simply didn't understand the process expected from his insurance company. I as a contractor can't move forward with a claim if the claim is denied. In the end I learned that his initial claim was requesting a full re-roof from wind storm damage when in fact the adjusted offered to repair an area that an actual tree fell on, which was not satisfactory to Mr.. Had I been invited at the initial inspection time from the start, it could have potentially helped.

*** P should not have made me "the customer" go through the proposal process, filing, notice of commencment, and notary if he was never going to help me. He ignored me and strung me along for months. This is not good business ethics. I told him from the start my situation, intent, and what I needed from him. He got busy, sick, and behind on his work and I had to bare the brunt of his lack of commitment to his job and I had to waste time, money, and resources because of this man's poor work ethic. The least you can do is give me back the $10.00 I had to pay for filing since clearly you are not willing to help me with my roof.

A friend of *** Roofing, LLC found this on Mr. Face Book page and we thought it to speak volumes on our behalf. Thirty roofers can't be wrong. Easy to see the common denominator here. See attached.

Roof still leaks after $1000 & 4 visits. They don't return phone calls or show up as promised.
Paid $1000 last year to repair roof leak on recently purchased home. A year later and after 4 attempts to repair the roof still leaks. Fields doesn't return phone calls or emails and they don't show for for their appointments. It was only after I asked for my $$ back that they finally showed up!!
Home inspection during purchase revealed damage to roof on the front of the house around the valleys from poor workmanship during initial install (done by Fields) and there was a nail in the area above the attic access (again done by Fields during original install) which was fixed before I purchased the home. Fields now says I need a new roof (inspector last year said it had several years left). They are trying to sell me a new roof and don't want to fix their prior poor installation issues.

Desired Outcome

I want my $$ back so I can hire someone to fix the roof that should have been fixed a year ago. The roof has 30 year shingles and it's only 13 years old. The original install appears to be the issue so far ( which was done by Fields)

This roof system was installed by Fields Roofing in 2005. When Ms. purchased this home, the roof was already 13 years old and any warranties provided by Fields Roofing at time of original installation had long been expired.
In Aug of 2018, Ms. requested a quote for repairs, which included, repairing leak at attic stairs (in garage), replacing damaged ridge shingles and reseal skylights (which only carry a 5-10 yr warranty). On this visit, the sales rep for Fields Roofing noted on the work estimate that there was considerable shingle granual loss and also noted that the fiberglass matt of numerous shingles had been damaged (possibly allowing water intrusion to occur), due to multiple golf ball strikes to the roof system. The amount of the actual estimate, which was agreed upon and paid was $875.00. From Sept 2018 - June 2019, Fields Roofing made three more visits to Ms. home to attend to customer's requests of reoccurring issues. During each of these visits, we again, re caulked and resealed numerous areas to the ageing roof system, although no evidence of any active leaks were visible. In July 2019, Fields Roofing was contacted once again by Ms. and were told she was about to deploy and would be for some time. In Aug 2019, Ms. requested a refund and contacted the Revdex.com negatively on behalf of Fields Roofing. On Aug 21, 2019 a Fields Roofing rep met with Ms. and agreed, yet again to reinspect and reseal the skylights along with any other issues that were visible at time of inspection, in an attempt to resolve the issue. At this time, our rep and Ms. both went in the home where she said all leaks were occurring and the Field's rep noted there were no evidence of any water staining or active leak. He also discussed the fact with the customer, that the skylights had been out of warranty for several years and he suggested that they be replaced. Ms. shared she was once again leaving on deployment and would be gone for approximately two months. Our company returned one week later, and performed the above mentioned work as agreed upon. We are currently awaiting her return and response.

Fields Roofing repaired my chimney last year, and did a great job. Good communication, quality work, fair price. So, last month my insurance company gave me 30 days to put on a new roof or they were going to drop me, ridiculous but true. So, I called Fields Roofing again. The next day they came out, measured roof, and gave me all the options available. I mean, they really took the time to educate me and allowed me to make a good choice. The following Monday, there crew showed up and did an amazing job, very courteous, and great clean up. Very professional outfit.
